RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has announced recruitment for various engineering positions on a regular basis. Known as one of India’s premier multidisciplinary consultancy organizations, RITES specializes in providing services in the fields of transport, infrastructure, and related technologies.

For the year 2025, the company is inviting online applications from dynamic and experienced engineering professionals in disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical. These positions are being offered at managerial and assistant managerial levels and carry attractive pay packages along with additional benefits.

Vacancy Details

RITES Ltd. has announced a limited number of vacancies for specialized posts. The details of the available positions are as follows:

  • Manager (Civil – Transport Planner/Transport Engineer): 1 post (OBC)
  • Senior Manager (Mechanical – Ventilation Expert): 1 post (OBC)
  • Senior Manager (ES&T – E&M Expert): 1 post (SC)
  • Assistant Manager (Civil – Bridge Engineer): 2 posts (UR + ST, including 1 reserved for PwBD)

Age Limit (as on 30 September 2025)

  • Manager (Civil): Up to 35 years
  • Senior Manager (Mechanical/Electrical): Up to 38 years
  • Assistant Manager (Civil): Up to 32 years

Application Fees

Applicants are required to pay the following application fees online:

  • General/OBC Candidates: ₹600 + applicable taxes
  • EWS/SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: ₹300 + applicable taxes

Important Notes

  • SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be refunded the fee amount (after deducting taxes/bank charges) if they appear for the written test or interview.
  • Fees must be paid only through the online mode specified in the application portal. Any other method of payment will not be accepted.
  • Applicants must ensure that the fee payment receipt/invoice is generated successfully and kept safe for records.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualifications & Experience

Manager (Civil – Transport Planner/Transport Engineer)

  • Qualification:
    • Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture (5 years) / Planning (4 years).
    • Master’s degree in Transport Engineering / Transport Planning or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in urban transport planning, traffic engineering, demand modeling, or multimodal integration.
  • Skills Required: Proficiency in GIS and modeling software such as CUBE or VISUM.

Senior Manager (Mechanical – Ventilation Expert)

  • Qualification:
    • Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • M.Tech in Aerodynamics, Thermal Engineering, or Fluid Mechanics preferred.
  • Experience: Total 8 years, with at least 5 years in tunnel ventilation design, HVAC systems, or industrial ventilation.

Senior Manager (Electrical – E&M Expert)

  • Qualification:
    • Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • M.Tech in Power Systems, Control & Automation, or Industrial Power & Automation preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years, with at least 5 years in E&M design for road, rail, or metro tunnels.

Assistant Manager (Civil – Bridge Engineer)

  • Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in bridge design.

2. Minimum Marks Requirement

  • UR/EWS Candidates: 60% marks or First Class in qualifying degree.
  • Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD): Minimum 50% marks.

3. Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation if belonging to SC/ST/OBC)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Length of service in Defence + 3 years
  • J&K Domicile: 5 years
  • RITES employees: 5 years

Selection Process

The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Written Examination
    • 125 objective-type questions (1 mark each).
    • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
    • No negative marking.
    • Minimum qualifying marks:
      • UR/EWS: 50%
      • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD: 45%
  2. Document Verification & Scrutiny
    • Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be required to submit and verify their original documents.
    • Failure to provide authentic documents will result in cancellation of candidature.
  3. Interview
    • Candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:6 per vacancy.
    • Interview weightage:
      • Technical & Professional Proficiency: 30%
      • Personality, Communication & Competency: 10%
    • Minimum qualifying marks:
      • UR/EWS: 60%
      • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD: 50%

Final Merit List Weightage

  • Written Test: 60%
  • Interview: 40%

Candidates may choose to appear in Hindi or English during the selection process.

Salary and Pay Scale

RITES offers attractive pay packages along with allowances, benefits, and superannuation packages. The approximate annual CTC is as follows:

  • Manager (Civil – Transport Planner/Engineer): ₹17.97 Lakh (Pay Scale: ₹50,000–1,60,000)
  • Senior Manager (Mechanical – Ventilation Expert): ₹21.40 Lakh (Pay Scale: ₹60,000–1,80,000)
  • Senior Manager (ES&T – E&M Expert): ₹21.40 Lakh (Pay Scale: ₹60,000–1,80,000)
  • Assistant Manager (Civil – Bridge Engineer): ₹14.46 Lakh (Pay Scale: ₹40,000–1,40,000)

  • Employees may be transferred during service, including overseas postings.
  • No employee will be permitted to apply for external jobs until they complete at least 2 years of service with RITES.
