2. Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is classified according to the category of retired personnel – Navy, Coast Guard, BSF (Water Wing), and re-recruitment candidates. Candidates must meet age, educational qualifications, experience, and language requirements as specified below.
A. Retired Navy Officers/Staff
1. Motor Launch Engineer (Police Inspector Grade)
- Rank: Chief ERA/EAP/NEAR/SWA and above or Chief Mechanic (ER/P/R) and above.
- Education: Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Age Limit: Maximum 58 years.
- Marine Experience: Minimum 5 years.
- Language: Kannada-speaking, reading & writing.
2. Boat Captain (Police Sub Inspector Grade)
- Rank: Petty Officer from Seaman branch; preference to RP sailors (Radar Plotter with navigation experience).
- Education: Matriculation.
- Age Limit: Maximum 58 years.
- Marine Experience: Minimum 5 years.
3. Assistant Boat Captain (Assistant Sub Inspector Grade)
- Rank: Leading Seaman (LS) and above.
- Education: Matriculation.
