The Coastal Security Police, Karnataka, has announced a recruitment drive to fill 54 technical posts on a contract basis. This recruitment is part of the Coastal Security Scheme initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under which boats were sanctioned for strengthening coastal security. To operate and maintain these boats, technical staff is being recruited from among retired personnel of the Navy, Coast Guard, and BSF (Water Wing). The appointment will be purely contractual for a period of five years and will be based on a consolidated monthly salary.

Salary Scale
The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary based on the post:
- Motor Launch Engineer: ₹36,000/-
- Boat Captain: ₹34,000/-
- Assistant Boat Captain: ₹27,000/-
- Motor Launch Mechanic: ₹27,000/-
- Engine Driver: ₹25,000/-
- Khalasi: ₹23,000/-
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on eligibility, marine experience, and interaction/interview with the recruitment committee.
- Priority will be given to candidates having strong marine/technical background.
- Kannada language proficiency is essential for some posts.
Contract Period
- The recruitment is on a contract basis for 5 years.
- Extension of contract may depend on performance and government requirements.
