(ECGC Ltd.), a Government of India enterprise, has released an official notification inviting online applications for the engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The apprenticeship program is designed to provide practical training and work exposure to fresh graduates in different offices of ECGC across India.
The company was originally established in 1957 with the objective of supporting Indian exporters by providing credit risk insurance and related services. Over the decades, ECGC has played a vital role in promoting exports and safeguarding businesses from risks. Now, through this apprenticeship scheme, the organization is offering young graduates an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and professional development.

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must be Graduates in any discipline from a University or Institution recognized by UGC / AICTE.
- Final-year students awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other reserved categories.
Reservation
- Reservation of seats will be provided for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD candidates as per Government norms.
- Additionally, 5% of the total seats are reserved for fresher apprentices and skill certificate holders under the Apprenticeship Rules.
Monthly Stipend
- Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹12,300/- per month during the training period.
- No additional allowances such as HRA, travel, boarding, or lodging will be provided.
- Apprentices will be eligible only for leave benefits as per the Apprentices Act and ECGC’s leave policy.
Selection Process
The selection of apprentices will be based on a shortlisting process conducted by a committee of ECGC Ltd.
- Online Application Data Screening:
- Applications will be screened based on the details submitted, including educational qualification, marks, age, and other eligibility parameters.
- Candidates must ensure their application and profile are complete in all respects.
- Shortlisting of Candidates:
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.
- They will be required to appear physically for document verification at designated ECGC offices.
- Final Selection:
- Final selection will be subject to successful verification of all documents.
- Discrepancies in submitted data will lead to disqualification.
- Medical Fitness:
- Selected apprentices must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Civil Surgeon or District Medical Officer.
Training Conditions
- Apprenticeship training is for one year only.
- Completion of training does not guarantee regular employment in ECGC Ltd.
- Apprentices are trainees and not employees, hence labor laws will not apply to them.
- Apprentices must follow all company rules, regulations, and code of conduct during the training.
- Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination of the apprenticeship contract.
Application Process
Interested candidates must apply online through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
Step 1: Enrollment on NATS Portal
- Go to the official Apprenticeship portal (NATS).
- Register as a Student by completing all profile details including educational qualification, personal credentials, category, percentage, etc.
- On successful registration, a 12-digit Enrollment Number will be generated.
Step 2: Application for ECGC Ltd. Apprenticeship
- Login with the enrollment details.
- Search for “ECGC Ltd.” under advertised vacancies.
- Click on Apply.
- Once submitted successfully, candidates will receive confirmation of their application.
Application Fees
- No Application Fee is required for applying to ECGC Ltd. apprenticeship posts.
General Instructions
- Applications must be submitted online only. Incomplete or erroneous applications will be rejected.
- Only candidates with a completed profile on NATS portal are eligible to apply.
- Apprenticeship training is purely temporary and does not lead to absorption in ECGC Ltd.
- Apprentices will not be eligible for TA/DA or accommodation during training.
- Any attempt to influence the selection process will result in disqualification.
