The Directorate of Municipal Bodies, Uttar Pradesh, has officially announced a notification inviting applications for the recruitment of Executive Officers on deputation basis for the year 2025-26. This recruitment drive offers a total of 154 vacancies across different grades, including Grade-1, Grade-2, Grade-3, and Nagar Panchayat Executive Officers. The posts are open to eligible government employees from Uttar Pradesh State Government departments who meet the prescribed educational qualifications, experience requirements, and service eligibility conditions.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced government servants who are currently working in similar pay scales and seeking deputation postings in the municipal administration sector. The recruitment process emphasizes administrative experience, educational background, and departmental clearances. Deputation will initially be offered for a maximum period of three years, subject to satisfactory performance and conditions laid down by the competent authority.

Pay Scale and Salary

The pay scales of the posts are based on the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations and revised pay matrix levels. The details are:

  • Executive Officer Grade-1: ₹15,600 – ₹39,100 + Grade Pay ₹5,400 (Level-10)
  • Executive Officer Grade-2: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800 (Level-9)
  • Executive Officer Grade-3: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,200 (Level-6)
  • Executive Officer, Nagar Panchayat: ₹5,200 – ₹20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,800 (Level-5)

Apart from the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance, and other admissible benefits as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Grade-1, Grade-2, and Grade-3 Executive Officers:
    • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
    • A Master’s Degree is desirable and will be considered an additional qualification.
  • Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer:
    • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
    • Must possess an O-Level Certificate in Computer Applications issued by DOEACC/NIELIT or equivalent.
    • A Master’s degree is desirable.

Service Conditions and Experience

  • Candidates must be permanent government servants working in Uttar Pradesh State Government departments.
  • They must already be working in the same or equivalent pay scale as prescribed for the post applied.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative work is required for all categories.
  • Candidates must have a satisfactory service record with no pending departmental inquiries, vigilance cases, or disciplinary proceedings.

Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years as on 01 July 2025.
  • There is no mention of age relaxation since this is a deputation-based recruitment.

Duration of Deputation

  • Deputation will be made for a maximum period of 3 years.
  • Continuation will depend on satisfactory annual performance reports.
  • Deputation may be terminated earlier if:
    • Unsatisfactory performance is noted.
    • Any financial irregularity or misconduct comes to light.
    • The post is filled through regular recruitment by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
    • Any misrepresentation of documents or eligibility criteria is found.

Important Conditions

  1. Only those government employees who are serving in the same or equivalent pay band are eligible.
  2. Applicants must have minimum 5 years of administrative experience in their current cadre.
  3. Employees working in Urban Development Department, Uttar Pradesh or already on deputation in the same department are not eligible.
  4. Applications from candidates against whom disciplinary or vigilance proceedings are pending will not be considered.
  5. A declaration on ₹100 stamp paper must be submitted stating that the applicant accepts termination of deputation if any irregularity is found.
  6. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on administrative needs.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be based on eligibility, service record, and experience.
  • There will be no written examination.
  • A merit list will be prepared after scrutinizing the applications and documents.
