Eligibility Criteria

Reservation Policy

1. Vertical Reservation

Reservation for posts under JKSSB recruitment will follow the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act and rules, as amended from time to time. Candidates applying under reserved categories must possess a valid category certificate and upload it during the online application.

2. Horizontal Reservation

Horizontal reservation applies across vertical categories and includes:

  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs)

Important points for horizontal reservation:

  • ESM candidates must submit an affidavit before a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate confirming non-utilization of horizontal reservation in previous employment.
  • PwBD eligibility and type of disability must be as per extant regulations.
  • Horizontal reservation will not reduce the performance standards for selection.
