Application Procedure
Candidates must register online through the hospital’s official portal. Physical applications will not be accepted. On the day of the interview, candidates need to report at the Office of the Medical Director with a printout of their pre-filled application form along with original and self-attested copies of required documents. Entry will not be allowed after 10:00 AM, so punctuality is essential.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- MBBS with Postgraduate degree/DNB/Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized university/institute.
- Candidates must have valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) along with their postgraduate qualification.
- Those who have already completed three years of senior residency at any recognized institute (government or government-funded) are not eligible, except in cases where there is a shortage in specialties like Radiology, Anesthesia, or General Medicine.
- In the absence of PG-qualified candidates, non-PG candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a government hospital in the respective branch may be considered.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age is 45 years as on the date of interview.
- Age relaxation is applicable: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer, Delhi only).
Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in government hospitals or recognized medical institutions.
- For Casualty SR posts, MS/MD in Orthopedics, General Surgery, or Anesthesia is required.
Pay Scale and Salary
- The salary will be provided as per the 7th CPC guidelines, adopted by the Government of NCT of Delhi.
- Initial appointment is for 89 days or until the regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
- Tenure can be extended up to three years based on satisfactory work and conduct reports.
- No additional allowances or perks are offered beyond the pay scale.
Selection Process
- Selection is purely merit-based and conducted through a walk-in interview.
- Candidates must report with all required documents and original certificates for verification.
- The hospital may also maintain a panel of waitlisted candidates for future vacancies.
- The decision of the Selection Board/Medical Director is final and binding.
General Terms and Conditions
- All appointments are subject to medical fitness and verification of educational, age, and caste certificates.
- Any false information or suppression of facts may lead to cancellation of candidature and further legal action.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Senior Residents are required to serve full-time at the hospital and may be posted anywhere within the hospital as per the patient care requirements.
- The appointment can be terminated with 7 days’ notice by either party without assigning a reason.
- Fresh candidates may be considered under relaxed eligibility criteria for shortage specialties on an ad-hoc basis for up to one year.
- Senior Residents are expected to follow all hospital protocols, including emergency duties and hospital administration guidelines.
- Attendance and performance will be strictly monitored, and contracts are subject to evaluation for renewal.
