The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Haryana has released a notification for the engagement of Engineering Associates in the fields of Civil, Electrical, and Horticulture on a contract basis. A total of 300 positions are available for interested and eligible candidates who wish to contribute to municipal development and urban infrastructure projects across Haryana. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must possess the required degree in their respective fields as per the vacancy details:
    • Engineering Associate (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering
    • Engineering Associate (Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering
    • Engineering Associate (Horticulture): First-class degree in Agriculture with Horticulture specialization, or M.Sc. in Horticulture, or M.Sc. in Botany with Horticulture as a subject

Experience:

  • Candidates should ideally have at least one year of relevant experience in government departments, PSUs, regional development authorities, or government-controlled projects.
  • Additional marks will be awarded for experience beyond the minimum requirement during evaluation.

Age Limit:

  1. Minimum Age: 18 years
  2. Maximum Age: 42 years
  3. Note: Age relaxation will be provided as per Haryana Government rules for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. Preference may be given to candidates with higher qualifications, such as a Master’s or Ph.D., or those who topped their Bachelor’s program.

Pay Scale

  • Monthly Remuneration: ₹30,000 per month for all Engineering Associate positions.

Selection Process

The selection will be carried out in two main stages:

  1. Part-A – Qualification and Experience Evaluation (50 Marks):
    • Marks for percentage obtained in basic qualification (B.Tech/B.E/M.Sc.) – 35 marks
    • Master’s Degree in relevant field – 5 marks
    • Experience of at least one year – 5 marks
    • Additional experience beyond one year (maximum 5 marks)
    • Candidates must secure minimum 35 marks in Part-A to qualify for the written test
  2. Part-B – Written Examination (50 Marks):
    • Written test covering the relevant stream
    • Candidates must secure minimum 35 marks in Part-B to be considered for the engagement list

Final Selection: Candidates must achieve a combined total of 70 marks or above in Part-A and Part-B to be included in the final list for engagement as Engineering Associates. Preference will be given to candidates with higher educational qualifications and top performance in their respective fields.

Tenure of Engagement

  • Initial engagement is for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance.
  • Candidates must be willing to work in any municipality or office under the Urban Local Bodies Department.
  • Either party can terminate the contract with a 30-day notice.
  • Termination may occur due to poor performance, misconduct, or administrative requirements.
