Pay Scale: A Rewarding Career Trajectory

We believe in attracting and retaining the best talent with a compensation structure that reflects the significance of your role:

  • Professor: Level 14 of the Pay Matrix: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200/-
  • Associate Professor: Level 13A of the Pay Matrix: ₹1,31,100 – ₹2,16,600/-
  • Assistant Professor: Level 10 of the Pay Matrix: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400/-

These scales are supplemented with other allowances as admissible under the rules of the University, making for a comprehensive and attractive financial package.

Eligibility Criteria: The Blueprint for an RGNAU Educator

A. For the Captain’s Chair (Professor)

  • Academics: A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a high-quality publication record.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, with at least 5 years as an Associate Professor. Proven leadership in curriculum design and guiding doctoral candidates is essential.
  • Age: Not exceeding 50 years.

B. For the First Officer (Associate Professor)

  • Academics: A Ph.D. and qualification in the National Eligibility Test (NET), with exemptions as per UGC regulations.
  • Experience: 8 years of teaching/research experience at the Assistant Professor level, with evidence of published work and contribution to educational innovation.
  • Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

C. For the Co-Pilot (Assistant Professor)

  • Academics: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant discipline.
  • NET/SET: A mandatory requirement, with standard exemptions for candidates with a Ph.D. degree awarded as per specific UGC Regulations.
  • Age: Not exceeding 40 years.

Special Note for Industry Captains:
We highly encourage applications from distinguished professionals with an established reputation in aviation, management, or engineering. Your significant industry contributions can be equated with academic experience, offering a unique pathway to transition into academia.

The Selection Process: Identifying the Right Crew

Our selection process is designed to be rigorous and fair, ensuring we onboard individuals who align with our mission.

  1. Screening: A dedicated committee will scrutinize all online applications against the advertised eligibility criteria. The University may shortlist candidates based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
  2. The Interview: The final and most critical stage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview before a Selection Committee. The final selection will be based primarily on performance in the interview.
  3. Offer of Appointment: Successful candidates will receive a formal offer, the terms of which must be accepted within the stipulated timeframe.

    • General / OBC / EWS: ₹1,000/-
