Note for KKRTC & NWKRTC Posts: Selected candidates will initially be on a one-year ‘On-the-Job Training’ with a stipend of ₹14,000 per month. Upon successful completion, they will be regularized in the respective pay scales.
Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification (Key Posts)
- For Graduate-Level Posts (e.g., First Division Assistant, Assistant): A Degree from a recognized University in India.
- For PUC/Class 12 Level Posts (e.g., Second Division Assistant, Junior Assistant): A Pass in Pre-University Course (PUC/Class 12) or its equivalent (like CBSE/ISC, 3-year Diploma, 2-year ITI) with a First Class.
- Technical Posts:
- Junior Officer (KSDL): M.Sc (Chemistry) or B.E/B.Tech (Relevant Branch).
- Assistant Engineer (Civil): B.E (Civil).
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma (Civil).
- Junior Programmer: B.E (Electronics/Computer Science) or MCA.
- Librarian: Master’s Degree in Library Science.
B. Age Limit (as on October 31, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years

- Age Relaxation: A one-time relaxation of 3 years is applicable. Further relaxation is available for Government Servants, Ex-Servicemen, Widows, and Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) as per government rules.
Application Fee
The category-wise application fee, which is non-refundable, is as follows:

- The application fee should be paid online using the official payment portal.
- An additional fee of ₹100 per post will be charged for applying to extra posts with the same syllabus.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on the following stages:
- Competitive Written Examination: This will be an Offline OMR-based test.
- Exam Cities: Bengaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Dharwad, Ballari, Koppal, Vijayapura, Tumakuru, Kalaburagi.
- Negative Marking: Yes. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 35% (30% for KKRTC & NWKRTC posts) in the competitive exam.
- Compulsory Kannada Language Test: Most candidates must clear this test (150 marks) by scoring at least 50 marks. Candidates applying only for KKRTC/NWKRTC posts are exempt.
- Final Merit for KKRTC/NWKRTC: For Driver, Assistant Accountant, and Assistant Traffic Controller posts, the final selection will be based on:
- 75% weightage from the competitive exam score.
- 25% weightage from marks in the qualifying examination.
