- Note: The number of vacancies is indicative and may change. The final distribution of vacancies, including category-wise breakdown, will be announced later. The 39 vacancies exclude reservations for meritorious sportspersons.
Application Fee
The operation figure isnon-refundable and must be paid online.

Eligibility Criteria
A. Age Limit (as on July 01, 2025)
The upper age limit is relaxable for certain categories as per government orders.

- Differently Abled candidates are eligible for an age concession of up to 10 years over the prescribed maximum age limit.
- Specific age relaxations apply for Ex-servicemen as per government rules.
B. Educational Qualification (as on October 13, 2025)
Campaigners must retain one of the following qualification sets
- Pathway 1:
- A pass in HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology OR Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
- A two-year Diploma in Dental Hygienist conducted in Government Medical Institutions under the Director of Medical Education and Research or any other institution recognized by the State or Central Government.
- Must be registered with the State Dental Council.
- Pathway 2 (For pre-2008 candidates):
- Candidates with an SSLC and a Certificate course in Dental Hygienist, who passed before the publication of the Dental Council of India Regulations, 2008, and are registered as Dental Hygienists in the Tamil Nadu State Dental Council, are also eligible.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-11, with a pay scale of Rs. 35,400 – 1,30,400.
Selection Process
The selection for the post of Dental Hygienist will be based solely on the marks obtained in academic and technical qualifications. There will be no interview or oral test.

Note: If marks are not awarded for the Diploma/Certificate course, the selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the SSLC or HSC alone, as per relevant government orders. The selection will follow the rules of reservation and communal rotation of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

- Select the Post: Choose the post of “Dental Hygienist”.
- Fill the Application: Carefully fill in all required details in the online application form without skipping any fields.
- Upload Documents: Upload a scanned colour photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines. The online application is incomplete without these uploads.
- Provide Valid Contact Info: A valid mobile number and email ID are mandatory for registration and all future communications. All updates will be sent via SMS and email only.
- Payment of Fee: Pay the application fee online using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Mobile Wallet.
- Final Submission: After successful payment, a final Registration Number and Password will be generated. Note these for future reference.
- Print Application: Candidates can save or print a copy of the submitted application in PDF format for their records.
