Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the BSSC Graduate Level Examination 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification
- Assistant Branch Officer / Planning Assistant: Graduate degree from a recognized university.
- Junior Statistical Assistant: Graduate in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Statistics.
- Data Entry Operator (Grade-C): Graduate degree with PGDCA/BCA/B.Sc. (IT) or equivalent. Candidates with B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering or IT are also eligible.
- Auditor (Finance Department / Co-operative Societies): Graduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics.

Additional Relaxations
- Government employees of Bihar are allowed up to 5 attempts for this exam.
- Ex-servicemen get age relaxation up to 53 years (including service period).
- Other relaxations apply as per state government rules.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be appointed in different departments under the following pay levels:
- Pay Level – 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 (Assistant Branch Officer, Planning Assistant, Junior Statistical Assistant)
- Pay Level – 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Data Entry Operator Grade-C)
- Pay Level – 5: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Auditors)
Apart from the basic pay, candidates will also receive allowances such as DA, HRA, medical facilities, and other benefits as per Bihar Government service rules.
Selection Process
The selection process for the BSSC 4th Graduate Level Exam 2025 will be conducted in the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type):
- One paper of General Knowledge with 150 MCQs.
- Subjects include General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability.
- Each correct answer carries 4 marks, while each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
- Exam Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes.
- Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will qualify for the Main Exam.
- Main Examination:
- To be conducted for candidates shortlisted from the prelims.
- Detailed syllabus and exam pattern will be released separately.
- Document Verification & Final Merit List:
- Campaigners will be called for verification of original documents.
- Final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the Main Examination.
