This initiative is aimed at strengthening healthcare services in Thane city by engaging skilled nursing professionals on a contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc Nursing or GNM course from a recognized university/institution.
- Registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) is mandatory.
- Only qualifications from UGC-approved universities or recognized boards will be considered valid.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years for Open Category
- Maximum Age: 43 years for Reserved Category
- Age will be calculated as of 01/10/2025.
- Existing NHM employees applying for another post are exempt from the upper age limit.
Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in nursing.
- Only experience obtained after obtaining the required qualification will be considered.
- Experience certificates must clearly mention the duration and designation.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of Marathi language is mandatory.
- Candidates must be residents of Maharashtra and provide valid domicile certificates.
- Candidates applying under reserved categories must submit valid caste, SEBC, or EWS certificates.
- Married candidates must attach marriage certificate; name change must be supported with Gazette notification.
Pay Scale
- Consolidated Monthly Remuneration: ₹20,000/- for both male and female GNM positions.
- This is a fixed remuneration for the contractual period and does not include additional allowances.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be conducted through a merit-based evaluation system:
- Academic Performance (50 Marks):
- Based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination, proportionate to a maximum of 50 marks.
- Additional Qualification (20 Marks):
- Extra marks will be awarded for higher qualifications in the relevant field.
- Relevant Experience (30 Marks):
- Experience in nursing/medical services will be scored at 6 marks per year, maximum 30 marks.
Total: 100 Marks
- A merit list will be prepared based on the above scoring system.
- Candidates will be called for document verification in a ratio of 1:3 based on the vacancies.
- Absence during document verification will result in disqualification.
- Final selection will be communicated by the Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, and all decisions regarding the process are final.
