The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Government of India Miniratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise, has invited applications for its Graduate and Diploma Apprentice Training Program for the year 2025-26. The apprenticeship opportunity is open to qualified engineering, management, and science graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the aviation sector. The training will be conducted in AAI’s technical and administrative units located at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi. This program is designed under the Apprentices Act, 1961, providing practical industrial exposure to young professionals and helping them prepare for future employment opportunities in India’s growing aviation industry.

Application Fees

There is no application fee for this recruitment. AAI does not charge any fee at any stage of the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For Graduate Apprentices:

  • Full-time four-year degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Aeronautical, or Computer Science) or a three-year degree in B.Com, B.A, B.Sc, BBA, or BCA from a recognized university or institution approved by AICTE or the Government of India.

For Diploma Apprentices:

  • Full-time three-year diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics, Instrumentation, EEE, or Material Management) from a recognized institution approved by AICTE.

Year of Passing:

  • Candidates who have completed their degree or diploma in 2021 or later are eligible to apply.

Nationality

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the Delhi/NCR region.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 27 years as on 24 November 2025
  • Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided as per Government of India guidelines for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates.

Experience

  • Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or have work experience of one year or more after obtaining the qualification are not eligible to apply.

Duration of Training

  • The apprenticeship training period will be one year, during which candidates will receive practical exposure to operations, engineering maintenance, and technical processes in AAI’s operational units.

Salary Scale (Stipend)

The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961:

The stipend will be credited monthly and is not considered as salary. No additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting on Merit Basis:
    Candidates will be shortlisted based on their percentage of marks in the qualifying degree or diploma examination.
  2. Document Verification:
    Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email for document verification and interaction.
  3. Medical Fitness Certificate:
    Final selection will depend on submission of a medical fitness certificate from a government-authorized medical officer at the time of joining.

The entire selection process will be transparent and merit-based. No written test or interview will be conducted.

Required Documents

Candidates must produce the following documents at the time of verification:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Degree/Diploma Certificates and mark sheets
  • Proof of Date of Birth (10th Certificate)
  • Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar Card and PAN Card
  • Domicile Certificate (Delhi/NCR candidates preferred)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (at joining)
  • Proof of NATS portal registration

All documents should be self-attested and uploaded in clear scanned format.

Training Location

Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training at:

  • RCDU (Radio Construction and Development Unit)
  • FIU (Flight Inspection Unit)
  • CRSD (Communication, Radar, and Surveillance Division)
  • E&M Workshop (Electrical & Mechanical)
    and related units of AAI, located at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

Terms and Conditions

  • Apprentices will work under the supervision of AAI professionals and will follow the Apprentices Act, 1961 rules.
  • This apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent or contractual employment in AAI.
  • Candidates applying for more than one discipline will be disqualified.
  • AAI reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies depending on operational requirements.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending verification or joining.
  • Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories will be applicable as per government norms.
  • Any form of canvassing or influence will lead to disqualification.
  • AAI reserves the right to modify, cancel, or postpone the recruitment process without notice.
