Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a Government of India enterprise and a Mini Ratna-I company under the Ministry of Defence, has released a recruitment notification for 50 Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentice posts for the year 2025. MIDHANI is a high-tech metallurgical industry engaged in the manufacture of super alloys, special steels, and titanium alloys used in strategic sectors such as Defence, Space, and Atomic Energy, as well as in commercial industries. This one-year apprenticeship program offers young engineering graduates and diploma holders a chance to gain practical industrial experience under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1992. Candidates who have completed their graduation or diploma in engineering during the years 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 can apply for these training positions.

Application Fees

There is no application fee for this recruitment. Candidates can apply free of cost for the MIDHANI Apprentice positions.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must carefully review the eligibility requirements for the Graduate and Technician Apprentice posts.

Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentices (GATs):

  • Candidates must have a degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a recognized university or institution authorized by an Act of Parliament.
  • Only candidates who completed their graduation in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply.

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (TATs):

  • Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council, Board of Technical Education, or recognized university.

Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act or have one year or more of work experience are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

  • The age limit for the apprenticeship will be as per the Apprenticeship Rules.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PWD candidates as per Government of India norms.

Reservation of Vacancies

  • The reservation policy will be followed as per the Apprentices Act guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.
  • Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid certificates in the prescribed format.
  • OBC candidates must produce an OBC certificate stating “Non-Creamy Layer” status.

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the minimum physical standards as specified in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and any amendments thereof. They must also be medically fit as per MIDHANI’s requirements.

Salary Scale (Monthly Stipend)

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the apprenticeship training period as per the government-approved scale:

  • Graduate Apprentices (GATs): ₹12,300 per month
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (TATs): ₹10,900 per month

This stipend will be paid for the entire duration of the one-year training program.

Selection Process

The selection process for MIDHANI Apprentice Recruitment 2025 will be merit-based, with no written examination or interview.

Steps of Selection:

  1. Merit List:
    Selection will be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in SSC (10th) and Engineering/Diploma courses.
    Candidates with higher academic performance in relevant fields will be given preference.
  2. Document Verification:
    Shortlisted candidates will be required to verify their original certificates for age, qualification, category, and identity.
  3. Medical Fitness:
    Final selection will be confirmed after candidates are declared medically fit as per MIDHANI’s standards.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the verification process.

Duration of Apprenticeship Training

The apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year, as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973. During this time, apprentices will work under experienced engineers and supervisors, gaining valuable exposure to real-time operations in a high-technology manufacturing environment.

After the completion of training, MIDHANI will not be obligated to offer permanent employment, but the apprenticeship certificate will enhance the candidate’s future job prospects in the engineering and manufacturing sector.

General Instructions

  1. Candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before applying for the program.
  2. Candidates should ensure their E-KYC and enrollment number are verified through the BOAT (Southern Region) before applying.
  3. Applications must be complete and accurate; incomplete forms will be rejected.
  4. Candidates who fail to meet eligibility requirements will be disqualified at any stage of selection.
  5. Management reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the number of vacancies based on organizational needs.
  6. MIDHANI reserves the right to alter eligibility criteria or modify the selection process without prior notice.
  7. No boarding or lodging facilities will be provided by the company during the training period.
  8. No travel allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending verification or selection activities.
  9. The decision of MIDHANI management regarding selection and eligibility will be final and binding.
  10. Any form of canvassing or outside influence will lead to disqualification.
