NERIST 2025 Recruitment – 78 Non-Teaching Vacancies for Nurse, Stenographer & Other Roles

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), a Deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and operating under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released an important recruitment notice dated 14 November 2025. Through this notification, the institute invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for various non-teaching positions on a regular basis.

Located in Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, NERIST is a well-known institution offering engineering, science, forestry, management and applied science education. The Demand Draft must not be older than the date of advertisement and must remain valid for at least 3 months.

5. Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

Deputy Registrar

  • Master’s Degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade.
  • Experience required:
    • 9 years as Assistant Professor OR
    • Comparable experience in research/education OR
    • 5 years as Assistant Registrar or equivalent.
  • Desirable:
    • Degree in Law/Management/Engineering
    • Experience with e-office/computer systems
    • Experience in administrative/academic/finance management
  • Age: Not above 50 years.

Sports Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in organizing sports events
  • Age: Not exceeding 30 years.

Nurse

  • Intermediate (10+2 with Science)
  • 3-year General Nursing & Midwifery course (55% marks)
  • Registered A-grade Nurse
  • 3 years’ hospital experience
  • Desirable: B.Sc. (Nursing) with 1-year experience
  • Age: Not exceeding 30 years.

Laboratory / Technical Assistants (34 Posts)

Qualification options:

  • Option A: Bachelor’s Degree (4-year Engineering) with 55% marks + 2 years’ experience
  • Option B: Diploma in Engineering/Applied Science with 55% marks + 3 years’ experience
  • Must know computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Age: Not exceeding 30 years

Computer Programmer

  • Degree in Computer Science & Engineering
  • 3 years relevant experience
  • Age: Max 30 years

UDC / Caretaker

  • Graduate in any discipline
  • Knowledge of typing + computer applications
  • Category: ST backlog

Stenographer Grade III

  • Graduate in any stream
  • Stenography speed: 80 w.p.m.
  • Typing speed: 40 w.p.m.

  • ITI/NTC certificate in relevant trade
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience

  • Class XI (Science) + 2 years experience
  • For Physics and Chemistry: Class X + ITI/NTC

  • 12th pass or equivalent
  • Desirable:
    • Computer proficiency
    • Certificate in Library Science

Classifier / Cataloguer (02 Posts)

  • B.Lib degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience in library acquisitions/documentation
  • Age: Max 30 years

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

  • 10+2 pass

Driver (03 Posts)

  • Valid Driving License for motor cars
  • Knowledge of motor mechanism

Age Relaxation

Relaxations follow Government of India norms:

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

Step 1: Scrutiny of Applications

  • Applications screened for eligibility.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited.

Step 2: Written Examination

  • All posts will require a written exam.
  • Only candidates qualifying in the written test will be called for interviews (where applicable).

Step 3: Skill/Proficiency Test
