HPPSC Medical Officer 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess:
- MBBS degree recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
- Candidates with PG Degree/Diploma will be given preference (desirable).
Desirable Qualifications
- PG qualification as per Appendix-A
- Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh
- Suitability for working in HP’s geographical conditions

- Maximum Age: 45 years

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in the following stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination
Paper-I (Objective Type, 1 Hour, 100 Marks)
- General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh – 30 marks
- General Knowledge of India & International Affairs – 30 marks
- Hindi Language – 20 marks
- English Language – 20 marks

Paper-II: Subject Aptitude Test (Descriptive, 3 Hours, 120 Marks)
Stage 2: Personality Test (Interview)
