The Government of Rajasthan, through the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, has announced the official schedule for the Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes for the academic session 2025–26. These scholarship programs support students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Economically Backward Classes, Denotified Tribes, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities, as well as Mirasi and Bhishti communities. Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Universal Higher Education Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme is also included. The scholarships aim to ensure that financially weak students of Rajasthan can continue their higher education in recognized government and private institutions within and outside the state. All applications are accepted only through a fully online, paperless system.

These dates are mandatory for all government and private recognized institutions. Students can apply only after their institution completes all portal requirements.
Objectives of the Scheme
The Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes aim to:
- Provide financial assistance to students belonging to economically and socially weaker sections.
- Enable marginalized communities to pursue higher education without financial burden.
- Ensure equal access to recognized government, private, and national-level educational institutions.
- Promote inclusive education by supporting students in professional, technical, and higher academic courses.

Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amount varies depending on:
- Student’s category

- Hosteller or day scholar status

- Maintenance allowance for hostellers and day scholars
- Additional allowance for disabled students (as per specific disability norms)
- Books, stationery, and other essential academic support

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Rajasthan Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme 2025–26, a student must:
- Be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
- Belong to one of the eligible categories: SC, ST, OBC, EBC, MBC, DNT, Nomadic, Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Mirasi, Bhishti, or beneficiaries of CM Universal Higher Education Scholarship.
- Be admitted to a recognized government or private institution within or outside Rajasthan.
- Be pursuing a course after Class 10 (Class 11 and 12 not covered).
- Have valid income certificates as per the category norms (varies by category).
- Not be availing any other centrally-funded or state-funded scholarship for the same course.

Step 7: Final Approval & Scholarship Disbursement
- Once approved at all levels, the scholarship amount is transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
