The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal, one of the premier medical institutions under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has announced recruitment for 40 posts of Junior Resident (Non-Academic) on a contractual basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for young MBBS graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in one of the most reputed medical institutions in India. The recruitment will be carried out through a walk-in interview scheduled for 6th October 2025.

Vacancy Details

A total of 40 vacancies have been announced for the post of Junior Resident (Non-Academic). The distribution of posts is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:

Educational Qualifications

  1. MBBS Degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or from an Institute of National Importance.
  2. Candidates must have completed their internship within the last 5 years from the date of interview.
  3. Valid registration with the NMC or respective State Medical Council.

Age Limit

  • Upper Age Limit: 33 years (as on the date of interview – 6th October 2025).
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC (Central List): Up to 3 years
    • SC/ST: Up to 5 years
    • PwBD: 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST

Pay Scale and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Salary: ₹56,100/- per month (Level-10, Cell-01 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
  • Allowances: Usual allowances including Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as admissible under AIIMS rules.

Tenure of Appointment

  • The appointment is purely contractual.
  • Initial tenure: 6 months, extendable to another 6 months based on performance and institutional requirements.

  • Candidates terminated for disciplinary reasons will be permanently debarred from applying for Junior Resident posts in AIIMS Bhopal.

Selection Process

The selection procedure involves the following stages:

  1. Walk-in Interview (primary mode of selection).
  2. If more than 20 candidates apply for a post, a written test will be conducted to shortlist candidates.
    • Top 15 candidates per post (based on written test marks) will be called for the interview.
    • Written test marks are qualifying only and will not carry weightage in the final merit.
  3. Final selection will be based solely on interview performance.

Note: Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Reservation Policy

Reservation will be provided as per Government of India rules:

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates must produce valid certificates in prescribed format.
  • OBC Candidates: Must present a Non-Creamy Layer certificate (issued within one year from the interview date).
  • EWS Candidates: Must produce an income certificate (valid for the current financial year).
  • PwBD Candidates: 4% horizontal reservation available. Disability certificate should be issued by a recognized Medical Board.

  2. Proof of fee payment (if applicable).
  3. Identity proof (Aadhar/PAN/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID).

  7. Class 10 & 12 marksheets and certificates.
  8. MBBS marksheets and degree certificate.
  9. Internship completion and attempt certificate.
  10. NMC/State Medical Council registration certificate.
  11. FMGE certificate (for foreign graduates).
  12. Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD).
  13. No Objection Certificate (if employed in Govt./PSU/Autonomous institutions).
  14. Experience certificates (if any).
  15. Publications (if any).

Failure to produce these documents will lead to disqualification.
