Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS Jammu Faculty Recruitment 2025

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility norms set by AIIMS Jammu.

1. Educational Qualification

• Medical Faculty (for clinical disciplines):
  • A medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in the concerned subject.
  • DM/M.Ch. in relevant super-specialty (where applicable).
• Non-Medical Faculty (for certain subjects like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, etc.):
  • Master’s degree in relevant subject (e.g., M.Sc., Ph.D. in concerned field).
  • Other qualifications as per NMC/UGC norms.

2. Experience Requirement

• Professor: At least 14 years teaching/research experience (including 3 years as Associate Professor).
• Additional Professor: Minimum 10 years teaching/research experience (including 3 years as Associate Professor).
• Associate Professor: At least 6 years teaching/research experience.
• Assistant Professor: At least 3 years teaching/research experience in the relevant subject.

3. Age Limit (as on last date of application – 24.10.2025)

• Maximum Age: 50 years for all posts
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 5 years
  • Government Servants: 5 years

Salary / Pay Scale (As per 7th CPC)

• Professor: Level 14-A (₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400)
• Additional Professor: Level 13-A2+ (₹1,48,200 – ₹2,11,400)
• Associate Professor: Level 13-A1+ (₹1,38,300 – ₹2,09,200)
• Assistant Professor: Level 12 (₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400)

Selection Process

• The selection will be based on interviews conducted at AIIMS Jammu.

• Probation: 2 years for all faculty posts.
