PwBD Categories and Functional Requirements

AAI provides reservation and support for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD). Only candidates with 40% or more relevant disability and post-specific suitability will be considered. The functional requirements and categories for PwBD are listed below:

Junior Executive (Architecture)

• Functional Requirements: S, ST, W, RW, MF, CL, SE, C, H, BN, L, KC, PP
• Eligible PwBD: Candidates with visual (D), hearing (HH), or physical disabilities such as one arm/leg affected (OA, OL), dwarfism (Dw), acid attack victims (AAV), combinations of limb impairments (OAL, BL), cerebral palsy (CP), leprosy-cured (LC), speech or hearing impairments (SD/SI), or multiple disabilities involving the above.

Junior Executive (Engineering-Civil)

• Functional Requirements: Includes abilities related to sitting (S), standing (ST), walking (W), bending (BN), manual functioning (MF), reading and writing (RW), seeing (SE), communication (C), hearing (H), and keying/computer work (KC).
• Suitable PwBD: D, HH; OA, OL, Dw, AAV, LC; SD/SI (without neurological/limb dysfunction); SLD, MI; Multiple Disabilities involving (B) to (D)

Junior Executive (Engineering-Electrical)

• Functional Requirements: S, ST, W, BN, MF, SE, C, L, PP, KC, RW
• Suitable PwBD: D, HH; OL, Dw, AAV, LC; SD/SI (without neurological/limb dysfunction); SLD, MI; Multiple Disabilities involving (B) to (D)

Junior Executive (Electronics)

• Functional Requirements: S, ST, RW, H, C, SE, MF, BN
• Suitable PwBD: Dw, AAV (subject to safety services)

Junior Executive (Information Technology)

• Functional Requirements: S, ST, W, BN, RW, SE, H, C
• Suitable PwBD: B, LV; D, HH; OA, OL, OAL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV; ASD(M), SLD, MI; Multiple Disabilities involving (A) to (D)

Educational Qualification & GATE Requirements

To apply for Junior Executive posts, candidates must possess full-time Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. Candidates must also have qualified GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025 in the corresponding paper.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 27 years as on 27.09.2025
• Relaxations:
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC (NCL): +3 years
  • PwBD: +10 years (where post is identified suitable)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Eligible for up to 5 years of age relaxation according to government rules.
  • Regular AAI employees who have completed probation: Eligible for up to 10 years of age relaxation.

Remuneration & Benefits

The Junior Executive positions are classified under Group-B E-1 level in the IDA pay scale.

• Pay Scale (IDA): ₹40,000 – 3% – 1,40,000
• Emoluments: Basic pay + Dearness Allowance + Perks @ 35% of Basic Pay + HRA + CPF + Gratuity + Social Security + Medical Benefits
• Approximate Annual CTC: ₹13 lakhs
• Pay Protection: For eligible candidates joining from other CPSEs/State PSUs/Govt. Departments as per DPE guidelines

Selection Procedure

AAI’s selection process is strict and merit-based, taking into account educational qualifications, GATE scores, and application verification:

1. Eligibility Check: Candidates must meet age, qualification, and experience criteria as on 27.09.2025.
2. GATE Score Verification: Candidates should have a valid GATE score from 2023, 2024, or 2025 in the relevant subject.

4. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Equal weightage will be given to GATE scores from 2023, 2024, and 2025.
