Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Bhanur Unit, Telangana, a prestigious Mini Ratna Category-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has officially released the BDL Apprenticeship Recruitment 2025–26 notification. The organization invites online applications from eligible ITI-passed candidates for undergoing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 110 vacancies have been announced across multiple trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, COPA, Turner, and more.

These positions are open for ITI-passed candidates in the respective trades. Selected candidates will undergo one-year apprenticeship training as per the norms prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Eligibility Criteria for BDL ITI Apprentice Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed 10th Class / SSC from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must also have successfully completed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute affiliated with NCVT / SCVT.

Note: Candidates with higher qualifications such as Engineering Degree or Diploma are not eligible to apply for this apprenticeship program.

Age Limit (as on 31 September 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 14 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years

Physical Standards

All selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination as per the prescribed standards before the commencement of training. Only medically fit candidates will be eligible to join the apprenticeship program.

Selection Process

The selection process for BDL Apprenticeship 2025 will be based purely on merit. There will be no written examination or interview.

  1. Merit List Preparation:
    • A separate merit list will be prepared for each trade.
    • The merit list will be based on the average marks obtained in 10th/SSC and ITI.
    • Equal weightage will be given to marks obtained in both 10th and ITI.
  2. Document Verification:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
    • Candidates must produce all educational, caste, and age-related certificates in original.
  3. Final Selection:
    • The final selection will be based on merit and successful verification of certificates.
    • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria at any stage will be disqualified.

Duration of Training

  • The training period for all trades will be one year as per the rules of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • During this period, candidates will undergo theoretical and practical training in their respective trades at BDL’s facilities.

Stipend and Training Details

  • The selected apprentices will receive a stipend during the training period at the rates prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council and the Government of India.
  • The training will follow the standard syllabus and curriculum prescribed by the Directorate General of Training (DGT).
  • Apprentices will not be entitled to any additional allowances such as TA/DA during the training period.

  1. Recent passport-size photograph
  2. SSC / 10th Mark Sheet and Certificate (for proof of DOB)
  3. ITI Mark Sheet and Certificate in the relevant trade

  6. Aadhaar Card

All documents must be clearly scanned and visible. Applications with unclear or incomplete documents will be rejected.

Important Instructions for Online Application

  1. Candidates must register themselves as apprentices on the Apprenticeship India Portal before applying.
  2. Fill in all details including personal, educational, and trade preference information carefully.
  3. Ensure that the Aadhaar Number, Name, and Date of Birth match exactly with the 10th/SSC certificate.
  4. Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
  5. Verify all details before Aadhaar verification — once completed, changes cannot be made.
  6. Incomplete or incorrect applications will not be accepted.
  7. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.

Reservation Policy

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD categories will be applicable as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Government of India guidelines. Candidates claiming reservation must upload valid certificates during online registration.

General Conditions

  • Candidates must produce all original certificates for verification whenever required.
  • BDL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per organizational requirements.
