BEL, known as India’s leading professional electronics company and a key contributor to the country’s defence and strategic sectors, invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for permanent positions in its Bengaluru unit. The organization is seeking to fill 162 vacancies across two main categories — Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT) and Technician ‘C’ — in various technical disciplines.

Training and Stipend

  • Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT): Candidates will undergo six months of training with a monthly stipend of ₹24,000/-.
  • Upon successful completion of the training period and after passing the gradation test, they will be placed on the regular pay scale mentioned above.

The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or Higher Secondary Certificate will be considered final. Candidates claiming age relaxation must produce valid and original certificates at the time of document verification.

Educational Qualification

1. Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT)

  • Candidates must have completed a three-year full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or Electrical) from a recognized institution or university.
  • Candidates must attach their Provisional/Final Diploma Certificate along with percentage details.
  • If the institution follows a grading system (CGPA/SGPA/OGPA), candidates must produce proof of the corresponding percentage conversion from their university/institute.

2. Technician ‘C’

  • Candidates must have completed SSLC (10th Class) plus ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institute and one-year apprenticeship training with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the same trade,
    OR
    SSLC plus three years of National Apprenticeship Certificate Course in the relevant trade.
  • Final ITI, Apprenticeship, and NAC certificates must be submitted as proof of completion.

Only the prescribed qualifications will be accepted. Any claim of equivalent qualifications will not be entertained.

Experience

No prior work experience is required for either post. Fresh diploma holders and ITI apprentices meeting the qualification and age criteria are eligible to apply.

Mandatory Employment Exchange Registration

All candidates applying for Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT) and Technician ‘C’ posts must have a valid registration in the Karnataka Employment Exchange.

  • The registration must be active and valid as on 04 November 2025.
  • Expired or inactive registrations will not be accepted.

Selection Process

The selection will be based entirely on Computer-Based Test (CBT) performance.

Stage 1 – Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • The CBT will be conducted in Bengaluru and will consist of 150 marks divided into two parts:

Candidates who meet the cut-off marks in both parts separately will be shortlisted for Document Verification.

Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the CBT, the following tie-breakers will apply sequentially:

  1. Higher marks in the Technical section
  2. Higher marks in the General Aptitude section
  3. Higher percentage in the qualifying examination
  4. Older age (seniority in date of birth)

The CBT is expected to be conducted tentatively in November or December 2025. Call letters will be made available on the BEL official website for download. Candidates will be informed via SMS and email.

Pay, Allowances, and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scales mentioned earlier and will receive various allowances and benefits, including:

Mode of Payment

  • The fee must be paid online only through SBI Collect.
  • Candidates must retain a printout or screenshot of the payment receipt and mention the SBI Collect Reference Number in the online application form.
  • Application fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • BEL will not be responsible for failed transactions or payments made for other advertisements.

How to Apply

  1. Eligible candidates should apply online only through the official BEL recruitment portal.
  2. Applicants must have a valid email ID and mobile number, which will remain active until the completion of the recruitment process.
  3. Fill in all required details carefully — name, date of birth, qualifications, and category must match the official certificates.
  4. Upload necessary documents such as educational certificates, caste certificates, PwBD certificates (if applicable), and the SBI payment receipt.
  5. After submission, take a printout of the completed application form and payment acknowledgment for future reference.
  6. No hard copy of the application form should be sent to BEL by post.

Candidates are strongly advised not to wait until the last date to apply.

Documents Required for Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original and self-attested copies of the following during document verification:

  1. Recent passport-size photograph.
  2. SSLC/SSC certificate (as proof of date of birth).
  3. Marks cards and certificates for all academic years of Diploma/ITI/NAC courses.
  4. Final Diploma/ITI/NAC certificate.
  5. Proof of CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula if applicable.
  6. Apprenticeship certificate and NAC for Technician ‘C’ applicants.
  7. Valid caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the prescribed format issued after 01 October 2024.
  8. Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates) indicating at least 40% disability.
  9. Valid Karnataka Employment Exchange registration card (active as on 04 November 2025).
  10. No Objection Certificate (if employed in Government/PSU).
  11. Ex-servicemen must submit their Discharge Book.

Additional Instructions and Conditions

  • Candidates working in Government or Public Sector undertakings must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of verification.
  • BEL will verify all documents, and any discrepancy or false claim may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Candidates must be medically fit according to BEL’s prescribed health standards.
  • Color blindness will be considered unfit for these posts.
  • Canvassing in any form or attempting to influence the recruitment process will result in disqualification.
  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
  • BEL will not bear any responsibility for loss of email/SMS communication due to incorrect contact details.
  • Outstation SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates attending the CBT will be reimbursed sleeper class train fare (by the shortest route) upon submission of tickets and relevant certificates.
  • Local conveyance charges will not be reimbursed.
  • BEL reserves the right to modify, cancel, or add posts based on actual requirements at any stage.
  • The decision of BEL management on all matters related to eligibility, shortlisting, and selection will be final and binding.
