Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational criteria as of 24th October 2025:
- Technical Diploma / Secondary Education:
- A diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized institute.
- Completion of secondary school examination with two years of industrial training in civil work.
- Typing Proficiency:
- Marathi Typing: Minimum speed of 30 words per minute
- English Typing: Minimum speed of 40 words per minute
- Government or recognized typing certificates are required.
Candidates who do not currently possess typing skills may still apply; however, they must acquire the required typing proficiency within two years of appointment.
Age Limit
- Candidates must satisfy the Maximum age requirement 38 years as of 24th October 2025.
- Details regarding minimum and maximum age for different categories are as per government norms.
Residency & Language Requirement
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
- Proficiency in Marathi language is mandatory.
- Candidates from other states transferred to Maharashtra are not eligible.
- Special preference is given to Marathi-speaking candidates from Maharashtra-Karnataka border villages as per government notification 1007/G.D. 36/Ka. 36 dated 10/07/2008.
Physical & Medical Standards
- Candidates must be physically and medically fit to perform government service duties.
- A certificate of fitness from a government medical officer is mandatory before appointment.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on merit and reservation criteria. The process is as follows:
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Eligibility: Candidates must score minimum 45% marks in the CBT to be considered for the merit list.
- The CBT will assess technical knowledge, general awareness, and typing proficiency.
- Candidates must appear at the designated CBT center on the scheduled dates.
Merit List Preparation
- A division-wise merit list will be prepared based on CBT scores.
- Candidates who fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications, typing speed, and age criteria will be shortlisted.
- In case of tie in marks, selection will be based on:
- Preference to candidates from families of deceased farmers (as per government notification).
- Age: Older candidates will be given preference if marks are identical.
- Higher educational qualification will be considered in case of further ties.
- Additional qualifications and experience as per government norms may also be considered.
