Educational Qualification
For HC (Radio Operator):
- Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as regular subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks,
OR - Matriculation (10th) or equivalent and two-year ITI certificate in one of the following trades:

- Electronics Engineering
- Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

For HC (Radio Mechanic):
- Intermediate (10+2) with PCM (60% aggregate),

Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted in three phases:
Step 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Conducted using RFID technology
- Male Candidates:
- Height, Chest & Weight as per prescribed standards
- Race: 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 11 feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3.5 feet (3 chances)
- Female Candidates:
- Height & Weight as per standards
- Race: 800 m in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 9 feet (3 chances)
- High Jump: 3 feet (3 chances)
Ex-Servicemen and BSF departmental candidates under LDCE are exempted from PST/PET.
Stage 2: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Language: English & Hindi
- HC (RO): 200 marks + 50 marks Dictation Test
- HC (RM): 200 marks
- Objection management link will be available after exam
- The result will be available on the BSF official website and recruitment portal.
Stage 3: Document Verification, Dictation & Medical Examination
- Document Verification (for all candidates)
- Dictation and Paragraph Reading Test (for HC RO only) – 50 marks plus a qualifying reading round.
- Detailed/Review Medical Examination (DME/RME)
Final Merit List
- HC (RO): CBT marks (200) + Dictation Test (50) = Total 250 marks.
- HC (RM): Marks of CBT (200)
- In case of a tie:
- Higher total marks
- Older in age
- Alphabetical order of first name
- Higher marks in PCM (12th)
- Higher marks in Maths & Science (Matric/ITI)

- UR/OBC/EWS (Male candidates): ₹100 per post
- SC/ST, Female candidates, BSF departmental candidates, Ex-Servicemen, Compassionate Appointments: Exempted from examination fee
