Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has released a comprehensive notification dated 03 October 2025 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act.

The recruitment aims to engage a total of 1180 apprentices across multiple disciplines, including ITI, Diploma, Graduate, and Fresher categories. Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years (for Unreserved)
  • OBC (NCL): Up to 30 years (3 years relaxation)
  • SC/ST: Up to 32 years (5 years relaxation)

C. Technician and Graduate Apprentices (Under NATS Portal)

This category is open to candidates holding Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Non-Engineering disciplines, who passed after the year 2021.

Eligibility Conditions

For Trade Apprentices:

  • Candidates must have passed 10th standard and obtained NCVT-recognized ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
  • For Legal Assistant, candidates must have passed 10th and LLB from a UGC-approved university.
  • Age must be within the prescribed limit as of 01.08.2025.

For Fresher Apprentices:

  • Candidates must have passed 10th or 12th with PCB subjects from a recognized board.
  • Must fulfill age and other criteria mentioned in the table.

For Technician & Graduate Apprentices:

  • Candidates must have completed Diploma or Degree in relevant branches after 2021.
  • Must be registered on the NATS portal prior to applying.
  • Only Indian nationals are eligible.

Stipend Details

The apprentices will receive monthly stipends as per the Government of India Gazette Notification (686-E) dated 25 September 2019 and CCL’s internal guidelines.

Additionally:

  • For apprentices under NATS, 50% of the total stipend will be paid directly to the trainees through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • The exact stipend amount will be reflected in the apprenticeship contract letter.

Reservation & Relaxation

  • Reservation of seats will be applicable as per Government of India’s policy for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD candidates.
  • Age relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • Candidates belonging to Project Affected People (PAP) families will be given preference in selection, provided they submit a valid PAP certificate verified by SO (P&P) or Project Officer (PO) before the last date of submission.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be purely based on merit, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th/12th/Diploma/Degree/ITI).
  • No written test or interview will be conducted.
  • Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Project Affected Families (PAP) with valid documentation.
  • Final selection list will be published on the official apprenticeship portals and CCL’s internal notice board.

Application Process

Candidates must apply online only through the NAPS or NATS portals depending on their qualification. The offline or direct submission of forms will not be accepted.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

For NAPS Applicants (Trade & Fresher Apprentices):

  1. Click on the “Register” tab to create your apprenticeship profile.
  2. Complete your E-KYC including Aadhar, PAN, and Bank Details.
  3. After registration, log in and go to the Apprenticeship Opportunities section.
  4. Search for establishment name CENTRAL COALFIELDS LIMITED (Establishment Code: 02182000001).
  5. Apply for your desired trade before 24 October 2025.
  6. Only applications submitted before this date will be considered.

For NATS Applicants (Diploma & Graduate Apprentices):

  1. Register as a student and complete profile details.

  3. Apply for the respective apprenticeship post before the last date.
