Central Electronics Limited (CEL), a Government of India Enterprise and a Mini-Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, has released its 2025 recruitment notification inviting applications from Indian nationals for various contractual posts including Diploma Engineers, Technicians, Operators, Clerks, and Drivers. Established in 1974 to commercialize indigenous technologies developed by national laboratories and R&D institutions, CEL has consistently contributed to innovation in solar photovoltaics, defence electronics, railway systems, and integrated solutions. With ambitious goals to expand its market presence and strengthen profitability, CEL now seeks skilled, experienced, and motivated individuals to join its team on a three-year contractual basis, extendable by up to two years depending on performance.

Vacancy Details
CEL has announced a total of 44 posts across different categories. These positions are purely contractual, initially for a period of 3 years, extendable by up to 2 additional years depending on performance and organizational requirements. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:
- Diploma Engineer (Electrical) – 04 Posts
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Diploma Engineer (Electronics / Electronics & Communication) – 25 Posts
- Duties include inspection of electronic components, validation of samples, and onsite inspections.
- Diploma Engineer (Mechanical) – 04 Posts
- Focus on inspecting fabricated parts, hardware, samples, and generating reports.
- Technician (Fitter) – 02 Posts
- Required to attend failures of signalling devices at railway sites.
- Technician (Electrician) – 02 Posts
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Technician (Electronics Mechanic) – 03 Posts
- Expected to handle maintenance and supervision of machines.
- Operator (Electronics Mechanic Trade) – 02 Posts
- Responsible for troubleshooting system issues during production and analyzing rejections.
- Clerk (Finance & Accounts) – 02 Posts
- Duties include salary processing, taxation, and related finance work.
- Clerk (General) – 01 Post
- Responsible for supply chain management, GeM procurement, and NIC tendering.
- Driver – 01 Post
- Responsible for safe transportation of executives, guests, and official materials.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must carefully review the eligibility requirements before applying.
1. Nationality
- Applicant must be a citizen of India.
2. Age Limit
- The upper age limit for all posts is 40 years as on 31st August 2025.
- No upper age limit for internal candidates already working with CEL on a contractual basis.
3. Educational Qualification and Experience
- Diploma Engineer (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical):
- Three-year Polytechnic Diploma in relevant trade with minimum 55% marks.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
- Technician (Fitter / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic):
- ITI certificate in relevant trade with minimum 55% marks.
- At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Operator:
- ITI in Electronics Mechanic trade with at least 55% marks.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant work.
- Clerk (Finance & Accounts):
- Graduate in Commerce with minimum 55% marks.
- At least 2 years of experience in relevant work like accounts, payroll, or taxation.
- Clerk (General):
- Graduate in any discipline with minimum 55% marks.
- At least 2 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or tendering.
- Driver:
- Must have passed 10th standard with at least 55% marks.
- Possess a valid LMV license.
- At least 2 years of experience as a professional driver.
Salary Structure
The contractual positions at CEL come with attractive consolidated pay, including PF (employee and employer share), gratuity, and other benefits.
- Diploma Engineer – ₹40,000/- per month
- Technician – ₹30,000/- per month
- Operator – ₹30,000/- per month
- Clerk – ₹30,000/- per month
- Driver – ₹30,000/- per month
Additional Allowances Based on Experience
- Candidates with over 10 years of relevant experience in Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies may be granted an additional ₹15,000/- per month, subject to documentation.
- Those with 2–10 years of experience in such organizations may receive an additional ₹10,000/- per month.
- There will be an approximate 12% increment in basic pay every year during the contract period.
Application Fee
- All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500/-.
- The payment should be made via Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Central Electronics Limited.
- Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications and fees.
Selection Procedure
The recruitment process will be based on an interaction and/or skill test as decided by the selection committee.
- Step 1: Screening of applications based on eligibility and fee payment.
- Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will receive call letters for interaction/skill tests.
- Step 3: Final selection based on performance in the interaction/skill test, experience, and document verification.
Important Notes on Selection
- Call letters will only be issued to candidates who meet the eligibility requirements.
- During document verification, original certificates must be produced. If any discrepancy is found, the candidature will be cancelled.
- Candidates working in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies must submit NOC (No Objection Certificate) at the time of selection, and a Release Order at the time of joining.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process. Outstation candidates must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.
General Instructions
- Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as on 31st August 2025 will be considered.
- Incomplete applications or those without proper documentation will be rejected.
- If multiple applications are submitted for the same post, only the last application will be considered.
- The posting location will primarily be at Sahibabad (Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh) but can be changed as per company requirements.
- CEL reserves the right to cancel, modify, or change the recruitment process or the number of posts without prior notice.
- Any false information provided will lead to immediate rejection of candidature or termination of employment even after joining.
