Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • EssentialM.D./M.S./DNB/DM/M.Ch. in the concerned specialty from a recognized university, as prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • For non-medical teachers in basic science departments (Anatomy, Physiology, etc.), an M.Sc. with a Ph.D. in the relevant subject is required.
  • Candidates must have a live registration with the State Medical Council/MCI/NMC.

Experience

  • One year as a Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical institution.
  • OR specific experience as a Specialist Medical Officer/Consultant as per NMC norms.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 25 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories and domiciles of Chhattisgarh as per state government rules.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Academic Level-18 A of the pay matrix, with a corresponding salary range. The pay scale is:

  • Pay Band: ₹15,600 – ₹39,100
  • Grade Pay: ₹7,000
  • In addition to the basic pay, other allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA) will be provided as per state government rules.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on one of the following methods, as decided by the commission:

  1. Direct Interview (if the number of applicants is manageable).
  2. Written Examination followed by an Interview (if the number of applicants is very high).

The final decision on the selection methodology will be announced by the commission later. The interview will be for a total of 100 marks, and the minimum qualifying marks are:

  • General/OBC Candidates: 33%
  • SC/ST Candidates: 23%
