The High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, is inviting applications for Junior Judicial Assistant and Junior Judicial Assistant (Computer) posts under various categories. Application Fee

The examination fee must be paid online at the time of form submission through the Vyapam portal. As per the latest government norms:

  • Local residents of Chhattisgarh who appear in the examination will have their exam fee refunded after the test.

Educational Qualification and Experience

For Junior Judicial Assistant (JJA):

  1. Must be a Graduate from a recognized university.
  2. Must possess a One-Year Diploma in Computer from ITI or any equivalent recognized board/university.

For Junior Judicial Assistant (Computer):

  1. Must be a Graduate from a recognized university.
  2. Must hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer from an institution recognized by a university (approved by the University Grants Commission).

Salary Information

Successful candidates will be placed in Pay Level 4 of the 7th Pay Commission, with a pay scale ranging from ₹25,300 to ₹80,500 per month. The estimated in-hand salary, including allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA, is approximately ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month. JJA (Computer) posts are also eligible for an additional special pay of ₹200 per month.

The salary includes other allowances as per Chhattisgarh government rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will take place in two separate stages.

Phase-I: Screening Test (Objective Type)

  • Total Marks: 100 Marks
  • Number of Questions: 100 (MCQs)
  • Each question carries 1 mark
  • No negative marking
  • Phase-I will serve as a screening test only.
  • Based on Phase-I results, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:15 for Phase-II.
  • The marks scored in Phase-I will not be included while preparing the final merit list.

Phase-II: Skill Test

For Junior Judicial Assistant (Computer)

  • Total Marks: 100
    • English Typing Test: 50 Marks
    • Computer Skill Test: 50 Marks
  • Typing Test: A passage of 500 words must be typed in 20 minutes.
  • Penalty: 0.25 marks deducted per mistake.

For Junior Judicial Assistant (General)

  • Similar computer and typing proficiency evaluation will be conducted to test practical knowledge.

Final selection will be based on the performance in Phase-II Skill Test and document verification.

Other Important Conditions

  1. Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. Candidate should be of sound mind and good character.
  3. The candidate should not be married to more than one person who is currently living.
  4. Should not have been dismissed or removed from any government or statutory service.
  5. The candidate must not have been found guilty of any crime that involves moral misconduct or dishonesty.
  6. Candidates already serving in government departments must produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from their employer during verification.
  7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any stage of the examination.
  8. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) must possess a Permanent Caste Certificate and Domicile Certificate of Chhattisgarh.
  9. Divyang candidates with less than 40% disability will not be considered under PWD quota.
  10. Recruitment is subject to the final outcome of S.L.P. (C) No. 19668/2022 pending before the Supreme Court of India.
