Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Age Relaxation:

  • Differently Abled Persons & Ex-Servicemen: 10 years additional relaxation.
  • Hence, the relaxed upper age limits are:
    • General Turn: Up to 50 Years

Candidates must produce valid community and relaxation certificates during document verification.

3. Residential Requirement

Applicants must be residents of the same Taluk for which they are applying.
For example, candidates applying for Anaimalai Taluk must belong to that specific Taluk.
This condition ensures that local residents are appointed to serve their own areas.

4. Character and Fitness

  • Candidates should have a clean record with no criminal background.
  • A Character and Antecedent Certificate is mandatory before appointment.
  • A Physical Fitness Certificate issued under Basic Rule 10 is also required.

Salary Scale

The selected candidates will receive a Special Time Scale of Pay between ₹11,100 and ₹35,100 per month.

In addition to the basic pay, allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per Tamil Nadu Government rules will be provided.

Job Role and Responsibilities

The Village Assistant (Grama Oothalar) plays a vital role in the functioning of the Revenue Administration at the village level. They work under the supervision of the Village Administrative Officer (VAO) and act as the first point of contact for villagers in revenue and land matters.

Stage 2 – Skill Tests
