1. Academic Pedigree & Credentials:

  • A minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master’s level is the universal benchmark. A 5% relaxation is extended to candidates from SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories.
  • Ph.D. Advantage: For the posts of Professor and Associate Professor, a Ph.D. is a mandatory qualification.
  • NET/SLET/SET: Clearing the National/State Eligibility Test is standard. However, candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in full compliance with the UGC 2009/2016 Regulations are exempted from this requirement.

2. Experience & Research Excellence:

  • Professor: A distinguished scholar with a Ph.D., a minimum of ten years of teaching experience, a proven record of high-quality research publications (minimum research score of 120), and successful mentorship of doctoral candidates.
  • Associate Professor: A Ph.D. holder with at least eight years of experience, a minimum of seven research publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a research score of 75.
  • Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with 55% marks and NET qualification or an exempted Ph.D.

3. Specialized Criteria (E.g., Hotel & Hospitality Management): For Assistant Professor in this field, the university values industry expertise. Essential qualifications include a Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience in 4-star (or above) hotels or teaching in a recognized institute.
