PWD Reservation (Horizontal)

Only candidates with 40% or more disability in the following categories are eligible:

Upper Primary School Teacher (UPST) Eligibility – Classes VI–VIII

Educational Requirements

Candidate must have ANY ONE of the following:

  1. Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed.
  2. Graduation (50%) + B.Ed.
  3. Graduation (45%) + B.Ed. (as per NCTE updates)
  4. 12th (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed.
  5. 12th (50%) + B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed./B.Com.Ed.
  6. Graduation (50%) + B.Ed. Special Education

Note: Candidates who enrolled in B.Ed./B.El.Ed. before 29 July 2011 are exempted from minimum marks condition.

  • Maths/Science: Must have a B.Sc. degree
  • Language Teachers: Must have a B.A. degree in relevant language
  • Social Science: Must have B.A. or B.Com.
