Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For Anaesthesia: MD/DNB/Diploma in Anaesthesia or equivalent; candidates with 3 years post-MBBS experience (2 years in Anaesthesia) may be considered.
- For Burns & Plastic Surgery: MCh in Plastic Surgery or MS/DNB in General Surgery.
- For General Medicine: MD/DNB in General Medicine or 3 years post-MBBS experience (2 years in Medicine).
- For Obstetrics & Gynaecology: MD/MS/DNB/Diploma in Obs & Gynae; otherwise 3 years post-MBBS experience (2 years in department).
- For Radiology: MD/DNB/Diploma in Radiology or 3 years post-MBBS experience in Radiology.
- For Dermatology: MD/DNB in Dermatology.
DMC Registration
- Valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration for MBBS is mandatory.
- Candidates must also possess or have applied for registration of their PG Degree/Diploma with DMC.
- If a candidate has only applied for PG registration, they may be appointed for 44 days; failure to produce the valid certificate within 44 days will lead to termination.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on the date of interview.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer, Delhi only) – 3 years
- Other categories as per Government rules.
Salary and Pay Scale
Selected Senior Residents will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):
- Pay Matrix Level – 11: ₹ 67,700 – ₹ 2,08,700 per month
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other admissible benefits as per Delhi Government norms.
Total monthly salary typically falls between ₹ 90,000 – ₹ 1.1 lakh depending on allowances.
Selection Process
The selection will be done purely through Walk-in Interview.
- Mode: Interview only (no written exam).
- Venue: Administrative Block, 1st Floor, DDU Hospital, Hari Nagar, New Delhi-64.
- Document Verification: Between 09:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the day of interview.
- Only candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria as per the Residency Scheme of Government of India will be permitted for the interview.

Candidates must bring originals and photocopies of the following along with the filled-in application form and two passport-size photographs:
- Matriculation & Senior Secondary Certificates (for age proof).
- MBBS degree and all mark sheets.
- Postgraduate degree/diploma (MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma) and mark sheets.
- Valid DMC Registration Certificate (MBBS and PG).
- Proof of residence.
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS if applicable).
- Experience certificate (if any).
- NOC from present employer (for candidates already in regular service).

General Terms and Conditions
- Appointment is purely adhoc for 89 days or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
- The vacancies are tentative and may change without prior notice.
- 4% of seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- OBC/EWS certificates must be issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi and must state Non-Creamy Layer status for the relevant financial year.
- Appointment & service conditions will be governed by the Residency Scheme of the Government of India.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
- Selected candidates must join within 7 working days of the offer letter; failure to do so will lead to cancellation.
- All appointments are subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates (age, qualification, DMC registration, caste, etc.).
- A waiting list may be prepared (valid for six months or until next interview).
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend or cancel this advertisement at any time.
