Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Senior Resident (Adhoc) positions must meet the educational and eligibility conditions prescribed under the Residency Scheme of the Government of India.

1. Educational Qualification

RadiologyMD/DNB/Diploma (equivalent) in Radiology OR MBBS with 3 years post-MBBS experience in Radiology.
General MedicineMD/DNB (equivalent) in General/Internal Medicine OR MBBS with 3 years post-MBBS experience including 2 years in General/Internal Medicine.
Forensic MedicineMD (equivalent) in Forensic Medicine OR MBBS with 3 years post-MBBS experience including 2 years in Forensic Medicine department.

All qualifications must be from MCI/NMC recognized institutions. Candidates must possess valid DMC registration for both MBBS and postgraduate degrees (or proof of application for PG registration at the time of interview).

2. Age Limit

  • Upper Age Limit: 45 years as on the date of interview.
  • Relaxations:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC (Delhi, Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Age relaxation will be as per Government of NCT of Delhi norms.

3. DMC Registration Requirement

a) Candidates must possess a valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration for MBBS and their postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/Diploma).
b) Candidates who have “applied for” DMC registration of their PG degree/diploma will be provisionally appointed for 44 days and must submit the valid DMC certificate within this period; failing which, their appointment will be terminated automatically without extension.

Emoluments (Salary Structure)

Selected candidates will receive remuneration as per 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):

  • Pay Level: 11
  • Pay Scale: ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700 per month plus usual allowances (as admissible under government norms).

Selection Procedure

  • The mode of selection will be Walk-in Interview only.
  • Candidates fulfilling all eligibility criteria are required to report to the Admn. Block, 1st Floor, DDU Hospital between 09:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. for document verification.
  • Only those who qualify the verification process will be permitted to appear for the interview on the same day.

Documents Required at the Time of Interview

Applicants must bring the original and self-attested photocopies of the following documents at the time of reporting:

  1. Application form (duly filled and signed).
  2. Two recent passport-size photographs.
  3. Matriculation (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) Certificates for date of birth verification.
  4. MBBS degree and mark sheets.
  5. Postgraduate (MD/MS/DNB/Diploma) degree and mark sheets.
  6. Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration certificate for MBBS and PG degree (or proof of application).
  7. Experience certificates (if applicable).
  8. Proof of residence.
  9. Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi only.

Incomplete documentation or absence of required originals may lead to disqualification from the selection process.

Reservation Policy

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH candidates will receive reservations as per the existing rules of the Government of NCT of Delhi.
  • OBC certificate must explicitly mention Non-Creamy Layer status for the current financial year.
  • 4% of total seats are reserved for candidates with physical disabilities in accordance with government norms.

Tenure and Nature of Appointment

  • The appointment of selected Senior Residents will be on an Adhoc basis for 89 days or until the regular Senior Resident joins, whichever is earlier.
  • In certain cases (like pending DMC registration), the appointment may initially be made for 44 days, extendable upon submission of valid documents.
  • The appointment does not confer any right to regularization in the future.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. The number of vacancies is provisional and subject to change.
  2. All positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the regular recruitment process.
  3. Candidates working in government or public institutions must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
  4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  5. Selected candidates must join within 7 working days from the issue of the offer letter. Failure to do so will automatically cancel the offer without further notice.
  6. Appointment will be subject to verification of medical fitness, educational certificates, caste certificates, and DMC registration.
  7. If any discrepancy, fraud, or misrepresentation is found at any stage, the candidate’s appointment shall be cancelled immediately without notice.
  8. Waiting lists may be prepared and shall remain valid for six months or until the next recruitment cycle, whichever is earlier.
  9. The Residency Scheme of the Government of India will govern all appointments and service conditions.
  10. The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel the recruitment process at any time.
  11. In case of a large number of applicants, interviews may continue on subsequent days.
  12. All legal disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Delhi/New Delhi courts only.
