The Government of West Bengal has announced a new employment opportunity through the District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DHFWS), Dakshin Dinajpur, for the financial year 2025–26. The district health authority will engage various categories of employees on a purely contractual or sessional basis under the National Health Mission (NHM) and the 15th Finance Commission (XV FC). The recruitment aims to strengthen healthcare services across the district by appointing qualified professionals in multiple roles such as doctors, nurses, specialists, psychologists, and health managers. Eligibility Criteria and Salary Scale

Below is a detailed description of each post, including educational qualifications, age limits, and salary:

1. Clinical Psychologist (NMHP)

  • Vacancies: 2
  • Salary: ₹30,000/- per month
  • Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 01.04.2025
  • Qualification:
    • Recognized qualification in Clinical Psychology approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India
      OR
    • Post Graduation in Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Applied Psychology and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or Medical & Social Psychology (two-year full-time course with supervised clinical training) recognized by UGC and RCI.
  • Experience: Minimum one year from any recognized institution.
  • Residency: Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

2. Community Nurse (NMHP)

  • Vacancies: 1
  • Salary: ₹30,000/- per month
  • Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 01.04.2025
  • Qualification:
    • GNM from an institute recognized by the Nursing Council of India or West Bengal Nursing Council with one month recognized psychiatric nursing training.
  • Experience: Minimum one year preferred.

3. Community Health Assistant (Urban) – NUHM

  • Vacancies: 3
  • Salary: ₹13,000/- per month
  • Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 01.04.2025
  • Qualification:
    • Passed ANM or GNM course from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and registered with the West Bengal Nursing Council.

4. Facility Level Quality Manager (FLQM)

  • Salary: ₹35,000/- per month

    • MBBS/Dental/AYUSH/Nursing/Life Science/Social Science graduate with a Master’s in Hospital Administration or Health Management.
    • One-year experience in Public Health or Hospital Administration.
  • Skills Required:
    • Computer literacy, fluency in English, good communication skills, and understanding of government health programs.
  • Preference: Candidates with experience in healthcare quality management.

5. Community Health Assistant (Urban) – XV FC

  • Vacancies: 6
  • Salary: ₹13,000/- per month
  • Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 01.04.2025
  • Qualification:
    • ANM or GNM from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, registered with the West Bengal Nursing Council.
    • Must be proficient in Bengali and a resident of Dakshin Dinajpur.

6. Medical Officer (NUHM)

8. Block Public Health Manager

    • B.Sc. in Life Science with Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Management.
    • Proficiency in advanced MS Office.

  • Qualification:
    • MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Diploma in Ophthalmology and registration under the West Bengal Medical Council.

Selection Process

The selection process will include one or more of the following stages depending on the post applied for:

  1. Written Examination:
    • For certain posts such as Facility Level Quality Manager, the written test will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on reasoning, numerical ability, computer knowledge, public health, and general awareness.
    • Duration of the test: 60 minutes.
    • Negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  2. Computer Skill Test:
    • For managerial and administrative positions, candidates will be tested on MS Office, Internet Applications, and general computer proficiency.
  3. Interview:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview to assess communication, confidence, and subject knowledge.
  4. Academic and Experience-Based Evaluation:
    • For other posts, marks will be allotted based on educational qualifications, experience, and interview performance.
