For students pursuing B.Tech. in the following disciplines. The internship must be a part of their academic curriculum.

Category (B): Postgraduate Internship (M.Sc.)

For students pursuing their 2nd year of M.Sc. courses. The internship must be part of their degree requirement.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must be pursuing full-time graduate or postgraduate courses (B.Tech. / M.Sc.) in relevant disciplines from a recognized Indian University or Institute approved by AICTE/UGC.
• The internship should be a mandatory part of their academic curriculum.

Academic Performance

• Candidates must have a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 or above in all previous semesters.

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit: 28 years as of the application deadline (17 November 2025).

Duration of Internship

• The internship will be conducted for a period of six months.
• Students must submit a progress report after 3 months and a final project report upon completion.
• Upon successful completion and approval of their work, TBRL will issue a Certificate of Completion.

Selection Procedure

Steps of Selection:

1. Screening of Applications:
   All applications will be evaluated based on academic performance (CGPA/percentage).
2. Shortlisting:

4. Police Verification Certificate from the hometown/residence.
5. Undertaking to adhere to the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
6. Undertaking to follow Ministry of Defence IT Rules.
7. Bank account details for stipend transfer.
8. Original Aadhaar Card and College ID Card for verification.
9. Three recent passport-size photographs.
10. All previous semester mark sheets or letter from college confirming retention of originals.

Stipend and Payment Rules

• Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000 per month.
• Stipend is payable only if the intern attends at least 15 working days per month.
• Payment will be made in two installments:
  • First installment after 3 months.
  • Second installment after completion of 6 months.
• Stipend will be credited directly to the intern’s bank account.

Boarding and Lodging

• No boarding, lodging, transportation, or medical facilities will be provided.
• All related expenses must be borne by the student.

Rules, Conduct, and Other Conditions

• Interns must follow all laboratory rules and security protocols.
• Any indisciplinary activity will lead to termination of the internship.
• DRDO/TBRL has no obligation to offer employment after the internship.
• The management reserves full rights to modify vacancy positions, eligibility, or selection criteria at any stage.
• Selected students must report to TBRL, Ramgarh Range, District Panchkula, Haryana.
• Canvassing or personal influence in any form will lead to disqualification.
• All disputes will be subject to TBRL/DRDO management’s final decision.

Evaluation and Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion:

• Interns must submit a detailed project report.
• Their work will undergo evaluation and verification by TBRL authorities.
• Only interns who complete the full tenure and meet all requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion.
• Interns who leave midway or fail to complete the internship will not be issued any certificate or payment.
