*The pay for artisan posts will be revised every 6 months as per Central Labour Commission (CLC) guidelines.
Additionally, Project Engineers will receive a one-time attire allowance of ₹8,400 after completing six months of service.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications as per the respective posts:

  1. Project Engineer:
    • Must possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized institution/university.
    • Specialization in relevant branches of Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related engineering fields is preferred.
  2. Technical Officer:
    • Must have a B.E./B.Tech. degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
    • At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in the relevant technical domain is required.
  3. Assistant Project Engineer:
    • Should have completed a Diploma in Engineering with at least 60% marks.
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience after diploma qualification.
  4. Senior Artisan:
    • Must have completed ITI (2 years) in a relevant trade.
    • Minimum 2 years of work experience in related areas.
  5. Junior Artisan:
    • Should have completed ITI (1 year) course in a relevant trade.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in related fields.

Relaxation in Eligibility

  • Marks Relaxation: For SC/ST candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are relaxed from 60% to 50%, subject to availability of reserved posts.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): Additional 10 years (over and above category relaxation)
    • Jammu & Kashmir Domicile (1980–1989): 5 years additional relaxation

Salary and Benefits

  • Project Engineer: ₹40,000 to ₹55,000 per month (depending on year of service)
  • Technical Officer: ₹25,000 to ₹31,000 per month
  • Assistant Project Engineer: ₹25,506 per month
  • Senior Artisan: ₹23,368 per month
  • Junior Artisan: ₹23,218 per month

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted through Walk-in Interviews at different zonal offices. Candidates will be evaluated based on three major components: academic qualifications, relevant experience, and performance in personal interviews.

  • For Project Engineers, experience marks are calculated as 15 marks for the initial 3 years and 5 marks for each additional year (up to 30 marks total).
  • For Technical Officers, Assistant Project Engineers, and Junior Artisans, experience marks are calculated as 10 marks for the first year and 10 marks for each subsequent year (up to 30 marks).
  • For Senior Artisans, experience marks are calculated as 15 marks for 2 years of experience, and 5 marks per additional year (maximum 30 marks).

The final merit list will be based on the total score (Qualification + Experience + Interview).

Note: Experience from academic projects, internships, or college training will not be counted as post-qualification experience.

Document Verification Requirements

Candidates must bring both original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the time of registration. Required documents include:

  1. Proof of Date of Birth (10th Certificate or equivalent).
  2. Educational Qualification Certificates and Mark Sheets.
  3. CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate (if applicable).
  4. Experience Certificates from employers (clearly stating duration and post held).
  5. Appointment order and salary slips (for those currently employed).
  6. Caste/Category Certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) – latest Non-Creamy Layer certificate for OBC.
  7. Disability Certificate (for PwBD candidates).
  8. Identity Proof (Aadhaar, Passport, or other valid Govt. ID).
  9. Certificates for Ex-servicemen, J&K domicile (if applicable).

General Instructions for Candidates

  1. The cut-off date for age and experience calculation is the date of selection.
  2. Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before attending the walk-in interview.
  3. Each candidate should apply for one post only; multiple applications are not allowed.
  4. Selected candidates must be willing to work anywhere in India as per project requirements.
  5. Employees already working in ECIL must obtain written permission from their reporting officer before appearing.
  6. Candidates should be prepared for a full-day selection process and make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
  7. Registration closes at 11:30 AM sharp — latecomers will not be allowed under any circumstances.
  8. ECIL reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process without prior notice.
  9. All educational qualifications must be from recognized institutions/universities.
  10. Any false information or suppression of facts will lead to rejection at any stage of the recruitment process.
  11. Legal proceedings related to this recruitment will fall under the jurisdiction of GHMC (Kapra Circle) courts only.
