The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released a notification inviting eligible candidates to attend the Walk-in Interview for the post of Senior Resident.
This recruitment is being conducted on a contractual basis for one year to fill 41 vacancies across multiple medical departments. The walk-in process will be held on 24th and 25th November 2025 at the ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi.

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories will be as per Government of India norms.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty from a recognized university or institute.
- Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/State Medical Council.
Age Limit (as on the date of interview):
- Maximum age: 44 years for all categories.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.
Note:
- Those who have already completed 3 years as Senior Resident in any government institution are not eligible.
- Candidates serving a bond under any Government Institution are also ineligible to apply.
Salary and Pay Structure
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of:
- Senior Resident: ₹1,40,545/- per month (plus applicable TA/DA)
Additional Details:
- No other allowances such as DA, NPA, or HRA will be paid.
- Private practice is strictly prohibited during the tenure.
- The position is purely contractual and does not confer any claim for permanent appointment.
Caution Deposit
- Candidates selected for the post must deposit a refundable caution deposit of ₹1,40,545/- through a Demand Draft in favor of “ESI Corporation, payable at Kalaburagi” at the time of joining.
- The amount will be refunded upon completion of the contract and submission of a No Dues Certificate.
- If a candidate resigns within three months, the deposit will be forfeited.

- The DD must be issued after 11th November 2025.
- Application fees once paid are non-refundable.
Selection Process
- Scrutiny of Applications during registration.
- Interview by the duly constituted selection committee.
- Shortlisting may be done if a large number of candidates apply (including screening test if required).
- Candidates must score at least 50% marks in the interview to qualify.
- The final selection will be based on performance and document verification.
- A waiting list valid for two months will be prepared.

Key Instructions
