ESIC Medical College Kalaburagi Recruitment 2025 – Walk-in Interview for Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor Posts

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi, has released an official notification inviting eligible candidates for Walk-in-Interview for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor under the Broad Specialty Department. This engagement will be on a contractual basis for one year, which can be extended up to three years depending on performance and administrative approval.

Important Dates

• Registration & Document Verification: 29th October 2025 (from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM)
• Walk-in-Interview Date: 30th October 2025 (from 10:30 AM onwards)

No candidate will be allowed to register after 10:30 AM on 29th October 2025. Eligible candidates are advised to reach the venue on time with all necessary documents.

Vacancy Details

ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi, has announced 35 faculty vacancies distributed across three positions: Professor (7 posts), Associate Professor (12 posts), and Assistant Professor (16 posts).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required qualifications and experience as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms for each post.

• Professor: As per NMC norms with adequate teaching and research experience in the respective discipline.
• Associate Professor: As per NMC norms with relevant post-PG teaching experience.
• Assistant Professor: As per NMC norms; candidates should have requisite teaching experience after obtaining their postgraduate qualification.

Note: Non-medical teachers may be appointed up to 15% of total posts in the departments of Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, if qualified medical teachers are not available.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age Limit: Less than 69 years (including all category relaxations)
• The upper age limit will be considered as of the date of the interview.

Salary Details

ESIC offers an attractive consolidated remuneration package as per the latest guidelines issued by ESIC Headquarters.

For Retired Army Doctors (SRESTA Scheme)

No additional allowances like DA, NPA, or HRA will be paid.
Private practice is strictly prohibited during the tenure of service.

Caution Deposit

Selected candidates must deposit a refundable security amount (via Demand Draft payable to ESIC Corporation, Kalaburagi) at the time of joining.

This deposit will be refunded after successful completion of the contract period and submission of the No Dues Certificate.
However, if the candidate resigns within six months, the deposit will be forfeited.

Application Fee

• The fee should be paid via Demand Draft in favor of ESI Corporation, payable at Kalaburagi.
• Payment made through any other mode will not be accepted.
• The demand draft should be dated after the release of this advertisement.
• The application fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection will be purely based on Walk-in Interview performance and document verification.

1. Document Verification: 29th October 2025 (9:00 AM to 10:30 AM)
   • Candidates must bring original certificates and self-attested photocopies.
   • Only eligible candidates after verification will be allowed to attend the interview.
2. Interview: 30th October 2025 (10:30 AM onwards)
   • Selection will be based on performance, academic achievements, and experience.
   • 50% of total marks in the interview will be the minimum qualifying criteria.
   • A waiting list valid for 2 months may be prepared, subject to administrative approval.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post.

Required Documents at the Time of Interview

Candidates must carry the following original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies:

• SSC/10th Standard Certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)
• MBBS Degree Certificate
• Postgraduate Degree Certificate
• Registration Certificate (Karnataka Medical Council / NMC)
• Experience Certificates
• Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Proof of Identity (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card)
• Relieving Certificate (if applicable)
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Publications/Research Papers as per NMC norms

All documents should be arranged properly. No photocopying facilities will be provided at the venue.

Terms of Contract

• Appointment will be purely on contractual basis for one year, extendable up to three years.
• Contract may be terminated by either side with one-month notice.
• Continuation will depend on satisfactory annual appraisal and administrative approval.
• Absence beyond 15 days without approval will be treated as abandonment of service.
• Selected candidates must open an SBI bank account for salary processing.
• A contract agreement on ₹500/- stamp paper will be required.
• Selected faculty must wear white coat with name badge during duty hours.
• There will be no claim for regularization in future ESIC recruitments.

General Instructions

• Candidates must report on time; late arrivals will not be permitted.
• Applications must be in prescribed format only.
• Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
• False declaration or document forgery will lead to disqualification and legal action.
• Candidates must bring No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer if applicable.
• Reservation benefits will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
• The interview venue and schedule may be changed by ESIC if required.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Candidates will not be entitled to PF, Pension, Gratuity, or Medical Allowances.
• Leave benefits: Earned Leave and Half Pay Leave as per CCS (Leave Rules) 1972.

EWS Reservation Criteria

Candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category must fulfill the following:

• Annual family income should be below ₹8 lakh.
• Families owning any of the following will not be eligible:
  • Agricultural land of 5 acres or more
  • Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. or more
  • Residential plot of 100 sq. yards or more in notified municipalities
  • Residential plot of 200 sq. yards or more in non-notified areas

Income and asset certificates must be issued by competent authorities such as District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Tehsildar, or Sub-Divisional Officer.
