The Gujarat Police Department, under the Government of Gujarat, invites online applications from eligible and motivated candidates for direct recruitment to the posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Wireless), Technical Operator, and Police Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport). These positions are offered under the Gujarat Police Force, Group-3 divisions, to strengthen the wireless, technical, and motor transport operations of the police department. This recruitment drive is conducted by the Technical Recruitment Board (TRB), Gujarat, and will follow a strict merit- and eligibility-based selection procedure.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Applicants must be Indian citizens as per relevant laws, including recruitment rules for government service in India.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 years (as per category and post-specific rules)
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories, Ex-Servicemen, and physically handicapped candidates.

3. Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Computer Science from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates with at least two years of relevant work experience in wireless equipment maintenance, radio engineering, or telecommunications in a government department or limited company will be preferred.
  • Ex-Servicemen with similar qualifications may also apply under relevant reservations.

Technical Operator

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Computer Science from a recognized university or institution.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in technical operations related to wireless equipment or telecommunications in government or limited companies is desirable.

Police Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport)

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
  • Age should not exceed 35 years for eligibility.

Candidates holding postgraduate degrees are not eligible for these posts. Only regular mode graduates and diploma holders are considered eligible.

Reservation and Relaxation Rules

Gujarat Police Department provides reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Physically Challenged candidates as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services rules and government orders.

  1. Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Reserved positions are applicable as per government norms. Candidates must provide proper documentation proving Ex-Servicemen status before the last date.
  2. Women Candidates: Special reservation seats are available in select categories as per government rules.
  3. Physically Challenged / Disabled Candidates: Reservations are provided for Leprosy Cured (LC), Acid Attack Victims (AAV) with no other disabilities, and other physically handicapped individuals. Candidates must submit the disability certificate issued by a competent authority.

In the absence of suitable candidates for reserved seats, these may be filled by candidates from the general category, ensuring all legal provisions are adhered to.

Selection Procedure

No TA/DA will be provided for attending exams or interviews.

Salary & Pay Scale

The posts are government positions with attractive pay and benefits as per Gujarat Government rules. The monthly salary for each post during the probationary/initial tenure is as follows:

  • Police Sub-Inspector (Wireless): ₹38,090/- per month
  • Technical Operator: ₹31,340/- per month
  • Police Sub-Inspector (Motor Transport): ₹38,090/- per month
