The Government of Haryana has taken several steps to improve the welfare and livelihood of construction workers and their families. One of the major initiatives under this effort is the Financial Assistance for Education Scheme, launched by the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The scheme is designed to support the children of registered construction workers by providing them with financial assistance for pursuing their education from elementary to higher studies. It aims to ensure that no child of a construction worker is deprived of quality education due to financial constraints.

This educational assistance scheme not only provides annual scholarships for school and college students but also covers expenses for technical, professional, and higher education courses. In addition, the Board offers financial help for hostel accommodation, scholarships for meritorious students, and coaching assistance for competitive examinations such as UPSC and HPSC. The initiative truly reflects the state’s commitment to empowering the families of construction workers through education and self-reliance.
