Program Overview
The HPSEBL Apprenticeship Training Program 2025 is designed for female candidates only and offers:
- Exposure to technical, administrative, and managerial functions of HPSEBL
- Training in power generation, hydro engineering, IT, finance, HR, law, and environmental sciences
- Mentorship from experienced professionals
- Practical experience bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices
Participants will receive a monthly stipend and gain hands-on knowledge of real-world operations in the power sector.

Candidates can apply for only one trade/discipline. Applications for multiple trades will be rejected.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PWDs, and Project Affected Families (PAFs)
- Age considered as on 31st August 2025
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have the essential qualification for the chosen trade as on 31st August 2025.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
- Distance Learning, Part-time, or Correspondence qualifications will not be considered.
- CGPA / OGPA / Letter Grade holders must indicate equivalent percentage of marks.
Training Details
- Duration: One year (non-extendable)
- Stipend: ₹9,000 per month
- Accommodation: Not provided
- Work Hours: As per HPSEBL rules; no extra benefits for extended hours
Selection Procedure
Order of Preference
- Candidates belonging to Project Affected Family (PAF) of HPSEBL
- Candidates from Project Affected Areas (PAA)
- Candidates based on overall merit
Note: Valid documentary proof of PAF/PAA status is required.
Merit Criteria
- Matriculation (10th) Marks – 20%
- 10+2 or Diploma Marks (whichever is higher) – 20%
- Essential Qualification Marks – 60%
Tie-Breaking:
- Older candidates preferred
- If date of birth is same, higher matriculation marks considered
Document Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates called in a 1:3 ratio per seat
- Originals of all certificates and a medical fitness certificate must be produced
- Providing false information will lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action

- Only female candidates are eligible
- One-year apprenticeship with no extension
- No obligation for HPSEBL to offer regular employment after completion
- Previous apprenticeship or job experience of one year or more makes candidates ineligible
- Accurate information must be provided; incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected
- HPSEBL reserves the right to modify the number of vacancies or cancel the recruitment process at any stage
