Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 62 years as on the closing date of the application.
- Only superannuated employees are eligible. Candidates who retired under optional retirement, voluntary retirement, resignation, medical termination, or disciplinary grounds are not eligible.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Project Manager (TPDK-1):
- Minimum ITI or equivalent in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical.
- Must have served at least 01 year at Junior Works Manager level in IOL units.
- Project Supervisor (TPDK-1):
- Minimum ITI or equivalent in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical.
- Must have served at least 02 years at Chargeman level in IOL units.
- Project Technician (TPDK-1):
- Minimum ITI or equivalent in Fitter Electronics, Fitter Mechanical, Fitter Electrical, or Fitter Instrument.
- Must have served at least 02 years at Master Craftsman (MCM) level in IOL units.
Performance Requirement
- Candidates must have achieved a performance rating of “Above Average” in the last three years of their service.
Salary and Benefits
The remuneration for all posts will be determined as per the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance guidelines (Office Memorandum dated 09.12.2020).
Indian Optel Recruitment 2025 Pay Scale:
- The minimum salary: Rs. 11,000/- per month.
- The maximum salary: Rs. 3,00,000/- per month.
- Remuneration: Pay drawn at the time of retirement minus Basic Pension.
- The remuneration will remain fixed throughout the contract period with no annual increments.
- No additional allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA) or House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided.
Additional Benefits
- Transport Allowance: A fixed amount will be provided for commuting between residence and workplace, based on entitlement at the time of retirement.
- TA/DA on Official Tours: Payable as per entitlement during service. Transit accommodation may be provided in company guest houses subject to availability.
- Leave: 18 days paid leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis (1.5 days per completed month). Leave cannot be carried forward.
Core Job Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be engaged in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and overhauling of the following systems related to TPDK-1 devices:
- Block D / LRF of Device TPDK-1
- Aiming Mechanism of TPDK-1
- Gyro Stabilizer of TPDK-1
- Final Device TPDK-1
- Control Mechanism and Parallelogram of TPDK-1
Term of Engagement
- The initial contract period will be up to 1 year.
- It may be extended for another year, subject to performance and requirement.
- The maximum contract period will not exceed 5 years after superannuation.
- The contract may be terminated earlier by either side with one month’s written notice or by paying one month’s remuneration in lieu of notice.
Disqualification Conditions
Candidates will be considered ineligible if they have:
- History of insolvency.
- Pending criminal investigation or trial.
- Conviction by a court of law.
- Past dismissal or removal from service due to disciplinary action.

Selection Process
