Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive salary under Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100) in the pay matrix with admissible central government allowances.

Additional benefits include:

  • Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay.
  • Cash compensation: In lieu of duty performed on holidays, subject to a ceiling of 30 days.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

  1. Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board of Education.
  2. Valid driving license for motor cars (LMV) issued by a competent authority.
  3. Knowledge of motor mechanism (ability to remove minor vehicle defects).
  4. At least one year of driving experience after obtaining a valid driving license.
  5. Possession of domicile certificate of the state against which the candidate is applying.

Desirable Qualification

  • Valid motorcycle driving license.

  • General Category: 18 to 27 years (as on 28 September 2025).

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years

Application Fee

The fee structure has two components:

  • Examination Fee: Rs. 100 (only for UR, OBC, and EWS male candidates).

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in multiple stages:

Tier-I: Online Written Examination

  • Mode: Objective MCQs
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Subjects:
    • General Awareness – 20 marks
    • Basic Transport/Driving Rules – 20 marks
    • Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks
    • Reasoning/Logical Ability – 20 marks
    • English Language – 20 marks

Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.

Qualifying Marks: UR – 30, OBC – 28, SC/ST – 25, EWS – 30.

Tier-II: Driving Test cum Interview

  • Practical driving test and assessment of motor mechanism knowledge.
  • Marks: 50 (Qualifying marks – 20).
  • Candidates must demonstrate driving skills and basic repair knowledge.

Final Merit

  • Based on combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II.
