Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following qualifications and age requirements to be eligible:
Educational Qualifications
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical):
- Three years (or lateral entry after Class XII Science/ITI into the 2nd year) full-time Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice (Electrical):
- Three years full-time Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice (Telecommunication & Instrumentation):
- Three years full-time Diploma in one of the following: Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Radio Communication, Instrumentation & Control, Instrumentation & Process Control, or Electronics Engineering.
- Trade Apprentice (Assistant-HR):
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) from a recognized university.
- Trade Apprentice (Accountant):
- A full-time Commerce Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Data Entry Operator (Fresher):
- Minimum 12th pass (but below graduate level).
- Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders):
- Minimum 12th pass with a Skill Certificate in “Domestic Data Entry Operator” for training of less than one year, issued under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or recognized by the Central Government.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 24 years (as on 31 August 2025)
Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST PwBD and 3 years for OBC PwBD)
Stipend & Training Duration
- Duration of Apprenticeship: 12 months
- Stipend: As per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and subsequent amendments.
Selection Process
The selection process for IOCL Pipelines Apprenticeship 2025 is merit-based, with no written test or interview. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the marks secured in their qualifying exam.
Selection Steps:
- Candidates must register on the NAPS/NATS Portal.
- The merit list will be compiled using the total aggregate marks from all semesters/years of the qualifying examination.
- In case of a tie:
- Preference will be given to candidates who are older in age (as per date of birth).
- If still tied, marks in Matriculation will be considered.
- Final selection will be based on document verification.

- Reservation as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD.
- Age and qualification relaxations for reserved categories.
- PwBD candidates with benchmark disabilities (minimum 40%) are eligible as per trade-specific suitability.
