Vacancy Details – Total 50 Posts

IRCTC has announced a total of 50 vacancies for the position of Hospitality Monitor. Reservation will be applicable as per Government of India policy for SC, ST, OBC, and other eligible categories.
Vacancies may increase or decrease depending on organizational requirements.

Contract Period

  • Initial contract: 2 Years
  • May be extended by: 1 Year (based on performance and requirement)

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications on a full-time basis from a recognized institute or university:

Eligible Degrees

  1. Full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration
    • From CIHM/SIHM/PIHM or institutes affiliated with NCHMCT, UGC, AICTE, or Government of India.
  2. BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts)
    • From Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.
  3. B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Science
    • From UGC/AICTE/Government recognized universities.
  4. MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management)
    • From a UGC/AICTE/Government recognized university.

Mandatory Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field, preferably in hospitality, catering, hotels, tourism, or similar industries.

Age Limit (As on 01 November 2025)

  • General (UR): Maximum 28 Years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 years

Candidates must carry valid proof for claiming age relaxation.

Salary and Allowances – IRCTC Hospitality Monitor 2025

Monthly Salary

  • ₹30,000 per month (including statutory deductions)

Additional Benefits & Allowances

  • Daily Allowance: ₹350 per day for on-board duty
  • Lodging Charges while on outstation duty: ₹240 per night
  • National Holiday Allowance (NHA): ₹384 per national holiday worked
  • Medical Insurance: Reimbursable as per IRCTC guidelines

Job Responsibilities – Hospitality Monitor

Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining and supervising hospitality operations in IRCTC units.

General Instructions for Candidates

  1. Engagement is purely contractual and does not guarantee permanent employment.
  2. Contract may be terminated with 30 days’ notice by either side.
  3. Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination with 15 days’ notice.
  4. Only Indian nationals may apply.
  5. Candidates employed in Government/PSUs must produce NOC or relieving letter.
  6. IRCTC reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process.

  10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
