Pay Scale
- The post of Assistant Jailor falls under Pay Level 5 as per the 7th Pay Commission.
- Salary Range: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 per month
- Additional allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, medical facilities, pension, and other government benefits will also be applicable.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification as recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
- The last date for fulfilling the educational qualification shall be the closing date of application (08 December 2025).

Selection Process
The selection process for JSSC Assistant Jailor Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in the following stages:
- Written Examination (Main Examination)
- Candidates must appear for the JAJCE 2025 written exam.
- The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Only candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for physical tests.
- Medical Examination
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a thorough medical check-up.
- Document Verification & Final Merit List
- Final selection will be based on merit in the written examination and fulfillment of physical/medical standards.
Examination Pattern
The written exam will be conducted in three papers:
- Language Knowledge (Hindi & English)
- Regional/Tribal Language
- General Knowledge (General Studies, Jharkhand GK, Current Affairs, Science, Reasoning, Mathematics, Computer Awareness etc.)
- Each paper will carry 100 marks and the duration will be 2 hours per paper.
- Negative marking will apply as per rules.
