Reservation Rules:

Jharkhand Home Guard Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates must meet the following residential, educational, and physical standards to be eligible for enrollment:
1. Residential Requirement
- Rural Home Guards: Must be a permanent resident of the block in Simdega district from which they are applying.
- Urban Home Guards: Must be a permanent resident of Simdega district and a normal resident of Sadar Urban area.
Applicants must upload a self-attested residential certificate issued by the competent authority.
2. Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)
- Minimum Age: 19 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Date of Birth must be between 01/01/1985 and 31/12/2005.
3. Educational Qualification

5. Technical Skills (Only for Urban Candidates)

Selection Process for Jharkhand Home Guard Recruitment 2025
The selection will be conducted as per the Home Department Notification No. 5442 dated 20.10.2014. The process involves multiple stages:
1. Physical Test (Qualifying)
Includes:
- 1 Mile Run
- High Jump
- Long Jump
- Shot Put
Candidates will be awarded marks based on performance.
2. Hindi Writing Ability Test
- Based on 7th standard level for Rural Home Guards.
- Based on 10th standard level for Urban Home Guards.
- Total Marks: 100
- Qualifying Marks: 30
3. Technical Proficiency Test (Only for Urban Skilled Candidates)
- Total Marks: 100
- Qualifying Marks: 30
- Tests technical knowledge in the candidate’s skill area (e.g., driving test, typing, etc.).
4. Merit List & Final Selection
- Marks from Physical Test, Hindi Writing Test, and Technical Test will be considered.

5. Medical Test & Police Verification
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical fitness test and character verification.
