Reservation Rules
- Home Guards:
- Only trained Home Guards of Jharkhand who have completed at least 3 years of service and 6 months of active duty are eligible.
- They must provide a certificate issued by the District Commandant’s Office in the prescribed format (Appendix X).
- Ex-Servicemen:
- Must be registered with the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Jharkhand.
- Maximum age for ex-servicemen is 45 years.
- Horizontal Reservations:
- 10% for Assistant Police working on contract under Jharkhand Police.
- 6% for dependents of Jharkhand Statehood Movement Agitators.
- 2% for Scheduled Tribe candidates within their category.
- Sports quota applicable for meritorious players.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD):
- As per Notification No. 4185 dated 25.07.2018, Warder posts are exempted from PwD reservation. Therefore, PwD candidates cannot apply.

Physical Standards for Jharkhand Warder 2025
To ensure candidates are fit for the police/prison environment, the following physical standards are prescribed:
- Height (Male): Minimum 160 cm (relaxation for SC/ST).
- Height (Female): Minimum 148 cm (relaxation for SC/ST).
- Chest (Male only): 81 cm unexpanded, 86 cm expanded.
- Weight (Female): Minimum 45 kg.

The Warder post falls under Level-3 (7th Pay Commission) in Jharkhand.
