The Office of the District Basic Education Officer, Balrampur, invites applications from eligible female candidates for appointment on various teaching and non-teaching posts at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Balrampur, for the academic session 2025-26. This recruitment is aimed at enhancing educational quality and support for girls’ education in the district. The selection will be on a contractual basis for a period of 11 months and 29 days, with extensions subject to government guidelines. The positions are intended for qualified and experienced female candidates committed to serving in residential school environments, including teaching in high school classes and supporting the school’s residential and administrative activities. Vacancy Details

The total of 63 posts is distributed across teaching and non-teaching categories as follows:

Teaching Staff (PGT – Post Graduate Teacher)

  1. PGT Hindi / English / Science / Math / Computer Science / Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences:
    • Number of Posts: 4 (Hindi, English, Math, Science/Computer)
    • Salary: ₹22,000 – ₹30,000 per month
    • Age Limit: 25-45 years
    • Qualification:
      • Master’s degree (MA/MSc) in the respective subject from a recognized university
      • B.Ed or equivalent training preferred
      • Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in classes 9–12 or as a trained graduate headteacher in recognized schools

Non-Teaching Staff

  1. Lab Assistant:
    • Vacancies: 12
    • Salary: ₹7,147 per month
    • Qualification: High school pass with diploma in laboratory techniques or Intermediate Science
  2. Office Superintendent / Clerk:
    • Vacancies: 2
    • Salary: ₹12,430 per month
    • Qualification: Intermediate pass with computer skills; typing speed Hindi 25 wpm, English 30 wpm
  3. Caretaker:
    • Vacancies: 0 (position open as per requirement)
    • Salary: ₹24,200 per month
    • Qualification: Postgraduate with B.Ed
  4. Cook / Assistant Cook:
    • Vacancies: 6
    • Salary: ₹6,433 per month
    • Qualification: Class VIII pass
  5. Peon:
    • Vacancies: 4
    • Salary: ₹7,147 per month
    • Qualification: Class VIII pass
  6. Watchman:
    • Vacancies: 4
    • Salary: ₹7,147 per month
    • Qualification: Class VIII pass

Note: All non-teaching posts are full-time, residential, and intended only for female candidates. Selected candidates must be physically fit and free from infectious diseases. The number of posts may increase or decrease based on administrative requirements.

4. Eligibility Criteria

  • Gender: Only female candidates are eligible for all posts.
  • Age Limit (as on 1st April 2025):
    • PGT / Headteacher: 30-45 years
    • Other teaching and non-teaching staff: 25-45 years
    • Maximum age for service in KGBV: 60 years
  • Educational Qualification:
    • PGT: MA/MSc in relevant subject with B.Ed or equivalent; minimum 4 years of teaching experience
    • Lab Assistant: Intermediate / High School with diploma in lab techniques
    • Office Staff: Intermediate with computer skills; typing Hindi 25 wpm, English 30 wpm
    • Caretaker: Postgraduate with B.Ed
    • Cook / Peon / Watchman: Class VIII pass
  • Experience: Minimum experience requirements are specified for teaching posts; preference given to candidates with relevant teaching experience.

Salary / Pay Scale

  • PGT / Headteacher: ₹22,000 – ₹30,000 per month
  • Lab Assistant: ₹7,147 per month
  • Office Staff / Superintendent / Clerk: ₹12,430 per month
  • Caretaker: ₹24,200 per month
  • Cook / Assistant Cook: ₹6,433 per month
  • Peon / Watchman: ₹7,147 per month

The remuneration will be disbursed after verification of documents and certificates.

Selection Process

  1. Screening: Applications will be screened for eligibility, age, education, and experience.
  2. Evaluation: Marks/merit system based on academic performance and professional experience:
    • High School: 10%
    • Intermediate: 10%
    • Graduate: 20%
    • Postgraduate: 20%
    • Training (theory & practical): 30%
  3. Interview / Personal Interaction: For non-teaching posts like Cook, Peon, Watchman selection will be based on interview.
  4. Final Selection: Based on merit points, age, and alphabetical order in case of tie.
